Turbo engines have great powerbands. Speciality turbo components exist to make the experience better, not to fix a huge problem. "Off-idle torque" is not a thing. Turbos are not complex.
It's easy to size a turbo that starts making boost at 1,500, full boost by 3,000 and holds the boost till...
5.0TT 755hp@~6,000rpm, 673tq@~3,800 w/ 6,500redline
90% torque from 3,500-6,500.
Throttle position & gear (and/or speed) dependent boost controller to limit boost at part throttle and lower gears/speed.
^^^totally made-up but would be fun.
3.5 is twin turbo, one on each side of the V. Powerstroke is single sequential turbo (SST). Plus, it has reverse flow heads so the exhaust exits towards the center of the V.
I don't think it's realistic for them to totally redesign the engine and engine bay to accommodate reverse flow heads and...
Opps... Just noticed voice recognition control and exit buttom in place of left and right arrows. I guess exit & left arrow are the same function. Maybe right arrow sub-menu select was moved to ok button. So definitely check the connectors. If it all plugs together, you'll have to live with...
Mostly likely you can buy new switches and install them. You'll just have to swap the harness from right to left and left to right. Of course, Ford might have changed the connectors but probably not. Maybe you could check before opening the packages so you could return if needed.
Looks pretty...
At the bottom, "Avaliable equipment" means you need to buy something extra to reach the claims and/or picture of the ad. It's pretty standard in automotive advertisements. It's understandable due to some ads showing cars with dozens of options.
Please take care of yourself and carry out your...
APR says
Stage 1 tune only requires fuel pump
Stage 2 tune requires fuel pump, intake & exhaust
Then you have 91, 93 & 100oct versions of those tunes.
So you never really know what he has because looks the same.
If he's tell you straight up stage 1 tune with intake & exhaust, you have...
According to the actual lawsuit that claim was made in Ford media pamphlet.
The exact same section in the exact same pamphlet it also says the following. So if someone made a decision based on the pamphlet claim then they are admitting to reading the documentation about importance of coolers...
Lawsuit hangs its hat on "track-ready". It was used in Ford ad caption. But same photo also say "avaliable equipment".
If interior photo of leather seats said "refined leather seating" or even "refined seating" and "avaliable equipment". Could people with no leather sue over claims? No of...
Once the resale drops, I'm going to buy a tech pack parts car for cheap. Sell the pleather interior & radio to some kid with base ecoboost or GT and keep engine and everything else for spares.
It's a fishing expedition. Lawyers have absolutely no case and they know it. Just throwing a hook in the water. But that doesn't mean they can't settle for good money. The judge will order both parties to mediation. Both sides and mediator will all bull$h!t each other. If Ford has internal...
You need more sun.
Yeah i also said "Same could be said for my car; I don't have carbon rims or carbon spoiler. Ford put too much faith in the consumer. They gave people too many options." I should've been more clear. R was "the car". Base was relatively cheap version, track was cheaper...
You sound very reasonable so I hope you don't take this the wrong way but it's honestly not my intention for upset you.
Ford says not to use track mode on public road. Also says only track pack & R models are capable of track or high speed. Then recommends non-track pack/ non-R models be...
So did the parts work for you? Instead of trying to rally the herd against an evil outsider. Where is your list to help the community?
Oh never mind constructive stuff. We're all still waiting for you to honor "stop feeding the trolls" post.
Hard to comment on a hypothetical. Tell me that did that guy actually do? I can say, I probably wouldn't hangout on forums for years and years complaining. I would probably find a solution and then help others.
Probably more. Just what I found after few minutes of research.
-Transmission Cooler Air Scoop ($220-300 parts)
-aftermarket trans cooler, lines, fittings, electric pump ($500-1,200 parts)
-OEM track pack cooler kit and track pack transmission (msrp $5,500 parts)
?-OEM cooler or...
I'll bite! I'll give you a bad guy to hate and a chance to cry it out.
I have several friends with base models w/o cooler. None have hit limp mode on the street even in 105+ heat. They're not the type to break traffic laws by more than 10 mph so that's 80 total in Houston area.
I wonder...
