  1. Insurance......Again

Ok just checked. I was mixed up my Texas and Japanese insurance. Both policies I declined car rental. Texas is 1,000 deductible not 2,000. Japanese policy I declined the extra 10k for items in the car for about $5 (~500yen) /mth. Sorry wasn't trying to bs you. Just got them mixed up.
  2. Insurance......Again

USAA. If you login their website. Then go to change policy. You can manipulate an itemized list and it will give you a new price. Just don't agree to change unless you really want to change it.
  3. rear wheels not protruding equally - 2017 GT350

Make sure you have both rear wheels on the back. I once put front on back and back on front. My buddy put front on left and rear on right. Guess next step is to start measuring.
  4. Insurance......Again

Nice. I lived in Imperial Beach, San Diego for years. Also La Jolla & Torrance for a bit.
  5. Insurance......Again

Some States are weird. In California I paid $280/mth for minimum (lot of uninsured illegals & criminals, several friends had car's jacked in mall parking lot, one was stabbed in the process). Texas suburbs, full coverage 1 million personal injury but no rental coverage & 2,000 deductible, $<80...
  6. Trust a tuner more than a mechanic?

Good tuner should have a demo car. Either a shop car or customer they sponsor to cut through the learning curve. When in doubt just ask about their experience.
  7. I'm done with the break squealing... need suggestions

Mine has never squealed. In the past I've had some pretty aggressive pads. Some with minimum operating temp of over 200 degrees F. I agree with everyone keep clean and use copper grease. But I also changed my braking style. Under light braking instead of slowly adding pressure 1, 2, 3, 4...
  8. Love the 2018 rear spoiler, want to order

Pretty soon you can pick up one used. I'm sure many 18 owners will get GT350R style or delete it.
  9. GT4 hood finally available

That's the we're tired of people asking at every event if it's for sale but don't really want to make it price.
  10. Educate a noob: Why does the Coyote respond so well to boost?

11:1 is static compression ratio. Dynamic ratio can be lowered with VCT. Aluminum is pretty strong. Lot of computer analysis used to determine where to reinforce the block and where to reduce weight. Engine management is pretty good also. I think most engines make good power under boost. Coyote...
  11. Am I wrong?

That's just wrong. Hope you can unfudge the situation with the manager so it doesn't happen in the future. It's so hard you find good service. Everyone is out to lunch or on drugs :(
  12. 2012 BOSS 302

Clean black low mile Boss Leguna Seca... I think it's a fair advertised price. I want it. Hehe.
  13. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

Yes everything was put under Ford Performance. But you're saying they changed the name again? Or changed the name of an internal department? I am unable to find the name Ford Performance Racing. I want to start using the correct term. Just need to read it officially before I start repeating it...
  14. 0w40?

I would argue the best operating viscosity is known by engineers. But viscosity of oil changes due to many factors. So the known best viscosity becomes a moving target. The factory might be aiming for 300yrds, cold weather guy 250 and performance driver aiming for 350. Nobody is getting more or...
  15. 0w40?

Yes. Data points provided by manufacture. 0w-40 @40*c = 70.8; 100*c = 12.9 5w-20 @40*c = 49.8; 100*c = 8.9 Curve is a basic kinematic viscosity parabolic of multi-grade oils measured in "cSt" or centistokes. As with anything on the internet, take it with a grain of salt.
  16. CCB Front Rotors, Talk Me Out of It

I see where you're coming from. But maybe you're taking "Talk Me Out of It" too literally. I interpret that saying as an invitation to brainstorm ideas and wanting to hear constructive negatives.
  17. 0w40?

    http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/product/oil/super_oil/index.html Yup engine design
  18. 0w40?

Yup. In accordance with Ford manual: Normal 5w-20 Cold Weather 0w-20
  19. 0w40?

Normal- 5w-20 Cold weather- 0w-20 Performance- 0/5w-20/30/40 depending; 30/40/50 if boosted. Try it out 0w-40. But I suspect cold start oil pressure wil be similar to your current 5w-20. But you're using the right logic. 30 or 40 is nice, will give less blow-by under high load/performance...
  20. Trending on /r/cars: 2019 Shelby GT500 to receive Ford's new N/A 7.0L V8 w/ DI

So did Ford Performance change their name again? I keep seeing you post FPR.
