So you have to run a hose from the BOV back into the intake for the reduction in noise? If you just add a filter to the end of the BOV, it will still be quite loud?
What kit do you have? Allot of tunes are setup that as IATs increase past a certain threshold, timing is pulled from the tune. Excessive heat, lower power, reduced timing lower power.
When letting off on high boost, the BOV will flutter quite a bit. I also noticed under full WOT at higher boost and letting off the throttle, the car would continue to accelerate for a split second or two. Kinda felt like the BOV was not letting enough air bypass out fast enough, thus keep the...
My BOV on the 2200 kit would not keep up running 12#s+. I went with a Tial aftermarket also and it definitely louder and more annoying. I wish a filter could be added, but it just pops open.
Of course there is a difference. The difference is from traction, or gearing change from the tire size or height of the sidewall. I run 275/45/17 drag radials with zero spin on my auto setup. Switching to a full slick is not going to cut my time or mph. I already have zero spin. Now if I have...
It's more like street tires inflate trap speed from all the spinning and extra time lost. I race 1000hp cars at the track to. Any tire that holds correctly gets you the correct trap speed for the power your making
Boost and elevation play factors in your timing. I am 5200' elevation and we lose quite a bit of power up here with the thinner air. But we can command more timing then at sea level. I had 18-19 degrees of timing with 11#s of boost, but that is at high elevation. From what I have heard, 16...
