Since new I have noticed occasional hard starts both hot and cold. Most of the time its a restart after I have made a quick stop at a store or something and come right back out. The car will turn over fine but instead of firing up cleanly it kinda burbles to a start like an old out of tune...
I hate that real long 1-2 shift as well. Its very apparent at low throttle input while in Sport auto mode. I hope a tune takes care of that issue and its not a design thing internally.
No fully electric car is going its full range at full throttle. The Model S P100D will throttle itself after periods of hard driving to cool the batteries off. A properly built ICE won't have issues with this unless there is a strong focus on forced induction and the temps are insane outside...
I find that I have the same quirky clunkiness these guys are talking about. You get used to it but you still know its there. Not a deal breaker by any stretch though. Just wish it was a little smoother around town especially in "S" mode.
I did a very quick search, but do you have a link to...
Your entire first paragraph is about spreading false information yet you repeatedly have said that the fox was the cream of the crop of 80s performance cars and how utterly amazing it was. Yet that's just not the case. Good value for the money (you know like most any mustang)? Yes it is. Far...
I was never impressed by fox bodies. My 91 trans am even with just a catback lost to only one and it had a pretty big cam and full exhaust on big and littles. My 2004 5 cylinder Colorado beat a full exhaust fox from a roll as well. They were quick but nothing to write home about, especially...
Come on be realistic. People are selling their cars over a ticking noise. These aren't failing because of that noise, people are just being overly sensitive (IMO) and being lead down that path because of some mouths on youtube. The basic design of the 5.0 hasn't really changed much since 2010...
From reading here your temps sound normal for open filter intake setups. Most would say to switch back to the stock intake to keep cooler but others say that idling temps don't really matter as long as they cool off after you start moving again. I am in the stock intake crowd until someone can...
If you are wanting a manual trans no matter which car you get, I would suggest keeping your Camaro even though I think driven at 10/10 the Mustang would perform the same. The TR6060 in the Camaro is much better than the mt82 in every way. My 18 has around 2900 miles on it now and does have a...
I'm worried about replacing mine and having yet another crack soon after. I hate that there aren't better options but what exactly makes the "aftermarket/non-oem" windshields worse quality wise? Are they even more prone to cracking or is it a fitment issue?
I have read that a lot of people would prefer better quality glass after they get their first replacement, especially when it comes inside the first year of ownership. I guess the voices just aren't loud enough.
I think it’s ford being cheap on their glass quality. Like I said my fusion glass was littered with marks and several ford owners I work with have or had damage of some type. Most all of them have or had cracks.
And I was afraid it didn’t get any better than oem. Wonder why there isn’t a...
2800 miles and I already have a massive crack in my windshield. I wasn't able to see a rock impact spot but it was dark while I was looking so I will check later. My old Fusion had a terrible windshield with lots of pitting and little marks on it after 50k miles. I never follow dump trucks or...
Trust me, I wish there were some driving roads like that near me. I am forcing myself to not be interested in open track style events but some awesome roads would be different all together.
Different engine types and designs have different oiling needs. Coupled with different cooling (both coolant and oil) systems and you get many different specs. I am not sure about Ford engine testing but GM did lots of different climate testing for the LS engine for oil weight and I am sure...
This has happened for years. SCT has already made changes and is issuing training updates based on some social media posts I have seen from them. Plus you can't stop the devices that are already out there or the quickly up and coming open source tuning market. Just another example of...
While a good point, I don't think this is an issue 99.999% of mustang owners will ever face. Top that with even high end calipers coming with paint on them makes me think its a non-issue all together.
I hope at sometime in the future someone will find some cheaper calipers and make adapter brackets for us. Then just use a PP1 Brembo front kit and be done.
My big want is to replace the stupid rear setup. I don't care about 15" vs 15.5" rotors or them being 2 piece or not. Just tired of looking at the terrible rear setup Ford gave us.
