If you shop tire prices, I have noticed that 20" tires in certain common sizes are slightly cheaper than the same width 19" tires so something to consider for future purchases.
So to upgrade a base GT to the Shelby brakes it requires the more expensive kit with the axles and all that? Who is the "cheaper" calipers and rotors and small parts kit being sold to?
I have been looking into this as well just for future knowledge and found 2 different Ford Racing kits that has me confused as well. One kit is the base parts you would think you would need for the GT350 brakes but the other has axles and spindles and all kinds of other parts. Both kits say...
Just checked it before I came into work. When I shut the car off, the amber driving lights as well as the 3 LED bar lights in the headlights as well as the rear driving lights stayed on. As soon as I tapped the lock pad on the door handle, everything went off and the amber lights flashed along...
I for sure wouldn't want it knowing it was a pace car. If for no other reason than the paint damage from installing and removing the vinyls but I am kind of picky about black paint, especially on a new car.
Maybe they changed things for 18 but my car just flashes the running lights and taillights when you lock and unlock using the door handles and it can be locked and unlocked from the passenger door as well.
You can pretty easily feel a downshift even at part throttle but if not you can watch the tach and see it not jump up like it would with a downshift or the torque converter unlocking. As far as enough power at those rpms, I have never been in the position where the part throttle response in...
My old 02 Trans Am with the t56 ran near that at 65 (more like about 1600ish) and it was perfectly fine. Maybe if I was trying to pass someone on a steep hill I would downshift to 5th but other than that it stayed in 6th all the time.
I *THINK* my new 10 speed is around that at 70 as well and...
My brother has the quieter Corsa on his 5.0 f150 and cold starts with it are pretty loud but sound really nice. The tip alignment is what I am most worried about because its nearly $1700 and it fits like that. You say its only really noticeable from up close? Did it damage the plastic around...
Good luck with the sale! Was wondering if you changing due to the fitment or just wanted to go another direction? I love everything about this exact setup for my 18 but keep falling back to the fitment which I hope doesn't look as bad in person..
Have you checked the leftover 2018 new inventory? You might be able to find something left on a lot that's really close to what you want and could possibly get it for the same price or cheaper than new along with better interest rates. Might be worth a look before giving up on the platform all...
You can certainly do the Roush blower with longtubes. You just can't keep the warranty if you do that. I would say if the money is available, do a blower kit and catback before anything else. Maybe read through the Edelbrock warranty info because it looks to be an even better setup than Roush...
For me I am stuck between AWE touring, Corsa sport or the stainless works setup above. I just wish I could find local people with all 3 to help me make my decision lol
I read through the Roush warranty information last year when I was planning to buy a base GT and have the dealer install the Roush kit. Depending on how you read it, even a catback would void that warranty no matter who installs it. But for sure a custom tune would which you would need after...
Gonna agree that unless the base file was for a completely different setup (e85 or something extremely different) there’s zero chance this was tune related. I’ve back yard mechanic tuned a few cars (all LS based) and had a couple copy and paste mishaps on my personal cars that I quickly...
I am actually talking with them right now. They did confirm I can buy from them at A plan pricing so I am waiting to hear back what the total cost would be for the car. I am a little worried about warranty coverage with the Roush warranty. Their warranty agreement seemed pretty strict on what...
So as an update I talked to a dealer yesterday and also test drove a car (17 gt/cs auto). Numbers wise I can come out at a few dollars over 30k for the car I want (base gt auto with black accent package) with my brother's discount. I can do that and the test drive was awesome. It felt like...
