I got my 2016 Sync 3 v1 to v3 and it was not easy! A thread (thanks everyone who chimed in) 2 calls to Ford (zero help) a trip to the dealer (no help but they tried) and then a little luck and bam- Android Auto and Waze. Anyway, at least a successful morning.

2016. I have Sync 3. I'm not sure but maybe I need sync 3 on my android as well. A 2016 should work fine with Sync 3. Looks like definitely need USB due to bandwidth

I'm pretty sure I have Sync 3, It is listed on my Sticker. I'll enable to app on the phone and see if it shows on the screen, then fumble around from there. This will be cool if I can get her going. I won't need an additional device.

I would love to put the gauge pack in my 16 with includes the oil temp I believe. I was told to get it to work, I have to modify the tune. I guess that is to get the right info from the ECU to the gauge. However I have a Roush tune so I think I'm SOL but it was a great thought- yours as well...

I have a Stage one and every one I have seen (for at least 2015 on) stated : 50 State legal emission on 2015-2017 / CARB E.O.#D-418-27. Maybe though this was a more recent change ? Being in Colorado, I was not too concerned.. It's a great option. Grab one!
