I had an issue with my DSS 2000s. They were slinging grease from the boots. I sent them to them for repair. When I got them back, I couldn’t get the passenger side in. Turns out they sent them back with 2 drivers side stubs. One stub should be longer on one axle. It goes in the drivers side. I’d...
Don’t question the logic, just do it! I couldn’t understand how it was going to help either, but sure as Hell, it fixed it for me and quite a few others that I know of
Hopefully you have better luck with that mount than me. Every time my car hooked or maybe in the 1-2 shift, my NGauge would fly out of the dash. I recently put one in from Jonathons Performance that uses screws to hold it in. Bitch ain’t going nowhere now
I’ve got nothing against turbo(s). They can make huge power. However my street driven Whipple car will run 8.70 this year and that’s all I need, so I don’t care about parasitic loss
ahl395 is dead on. On my 18 Whipple (not TT, I know) I was able to make right at 750@7200 on straight 93. At 7200, it pulled timing and we let out. Drained the 93 added E85 and made 887@7800. This was done with Fore triple L2 and ID1050X
I had already purchased/installed the EcoBoost pod before I heard the same thing, so on the dyno, we hooked up a mechanical gauge. The OE setup was accurate within 1/2 psi
It worked for me too, until I spun the tires again. Odds are you’ll still need to scrap the gasket for RTV. It seems to be the only permanent fix. Good luck!
Obviously you can make huge power with the turbo, but how fast do you want to go? A head unit upgrade can push you into the 8’s. I plan to crack the 8 second mark with my Whipple next year. If you weren’t already procharged, it might be different. A lot of work and cash for maybe not much gain. JMO
Let us know once you test it. I’ve seen some guys having trouble with misfire codes after using it and others with no issues at all. I’d like to get one as well
