Im mentally applying my general : n Ă— 2.5 delivery Formula to this...
Someone says a new product is going to be available in a month, it's going to be 2.5months.
If procharger says 2-4 days, it's going to be 5-10
Im EXCEPTIONALLY pleased with the ARH H-Pipe Catback I got from Beefcake. I was a little on the fence about it, but I couldnt possibly be happier with it. No drove when cruising on the highway, I can hold a conversation, but under load it sounds unbelievable.
Im not sure where you're seeing this 650whp limit on 93oct. Are you sure youre not confusing this with when you'll need a some sort of pump booster? As I think ~630-650ish is where you'll start needing that, but obviously that has nothing to do with oct.
The Whipple and ProCharger options can...
To way overgeneralize-Essentially a canned tune might just happen to be the best tune for one car ... but to average it out, its probably just a "good" tune for the majority of cars.
The problem with a "canned" tune is that it is not vehicle specific ... which means that there is going to...
Depending on if its Catted with HFC or Catless, either way depending on amount of driving, I would not be surprised to see it take a week to throw a cat efficiency threshold code. I'd honestly be more surprised if it had thrown it immediately.
Anyone with a SC installed these? I like the idea of these being a (relatively) quick install to get me through the summer and then doing headers next winter.
This is a bit of an overgeneralization. Tuning should really not be done on an inertia based dyno as it does not load the wheels. This is why Eddy Current Type dynos are used for tuning - they apply load.
That being said, most tuning should be a mix of EC dyno tuning and on street data logging.
This. Right here. - I 100% understand that this is a new platform, and a new kit. HOWEVER, this is also a new (Retails) $6000 kit on my New $42,000 car (Yes, I know there are more expensive cars out there, blah blah blah, I dont confuse my Mustang with a Ferrari - That being said, it is still MY...
I emailed [email protected] at 11:30am eastern time, with my serial number, original tuning email and description of my issue ... and did not receive any sort of response.
So, I worked in the VAG (VW/Audi/Porsche) tuning industry for quite a long time, but know NOTHING about these ECUs logic, so keep that in mind.
Since this is getting worse for you, have you (I dont even know if you can on these) looked at and most importantly RESEST long term fuel learning...
This doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me as:
1)The problem is not at WOT
2)They'll still just be looking at Data Logs
And Possibly most pertinent to this:
3)They did not specify the use of an Eddy Current type unit that can load, for partial throttle testing ... I dont know what good...
My does the same thing at partial throttle, I outlined it in my review. At WOT it is 100% smooth. It seems like everyone with the canned procharger tune is experiencing this.
If this can be resolved by ProCharger updating the tune, I will be pleased, and would probably just drive the car for...
Run 'er right up there bub.
But I'd trouble shoot this a bit more rather than just tossing another pulley on there, as you may have an issue that you're just masking with the different pulley.
