It looks like 3 OD gears. Here's what GM published with gear ratios.

Yep, the 6R80 is a ZF 6HP licensed by Ford, which is like 15 year old technology.
The 10R80 isn't related to any ZFs. I believe Ford owns the patents on most of the key components of the 10R80, or at least used to (might be co-owned with GM now). In any case, it's a completely new design.
"Most" cars are setup to understeer. Wider rear tires increase understeer. Also, it's much more difficult to get a staggered setup neutral, much less keep it neutral after several laps.
In a nutshell, square setups are much more neutral and predictable, which leads to more linear responses at...
The only car I've done well with buying and selling through dealers was a 2004 R32. I bought it used in 2004 with ~7k miles for $25.5k. I traded it in 2 years later for $26k with ~25k miles.
Geez... $52k for a RS at this place...

That sucks... They're still advertising it with the carbon fiber. It'd probably be worth the time/money to have a lawyer contact them for you because they certainly aren't holding up the warranty either.
I wish ford would use a better transmission for it. The 10 speed or ZF 8HP type would be nice... Nonetheless, it's quite a package for a mid 30k sedan. I'm curious the magnetic ride will be calibrated on it.
The old First Amendment is a tough hurdle for any public figure to overcome in a libel suit. Clearly criticizing a business whether accurate or not is a definitely in the arena of public interest. The Supreme Court held up years ago that inhibiting free speech with a libel claim a person needs...
Just responding to your post about $40k for a Golf. Since the G350 can't be had in that price range and the GT can, I think it's quite fair to compare the two on resale value since their starting points can essentially be equal.
I can attest that a Mk7 R can easily run mid 13s without launch control. A friend of mine let me take his completely bone stock R for one pass. I didn't use launch control and all I did was roll into the throttle and let it do its thing down the track. 13.4 at 104. I think the stock GT sees more...
Since weight loss is just calorie deficit, find exercises that you enjoy that can maximize that. For me, I hop on a $250 spin bike 5 to 6 times a week for 45 mins and then do some various body weight exercises afterwards. The thing to look out for when you exercise is that you'll want to eat...
