Oh man ya'll just scared the hell outta me!! LOL! Amazing info though, time to start studying and watching videos pertaining to everything you guys said. Thank you all!
Has anyone ever done them? I've never removed calipers completely before. I do everything on my car but brake stuff get me a little nervous with the line bleeding and putting bubbles and all that good stuff (do I need to bleed them??). Anybody have any tips they can share? I am taking all...
It's the quietest car I've owned. My tolerance however is probably higher because my 03 and 07 GT's had complete (headers and everything downstream) off-road style. Even my 02 V6 Camaro had slp loudmouths. Probably won't go to those setups again because it tends to be for "younger" people lol...
Anybody just get their mufflers cut off? I did that on my 2007 GT and it sounded great especially since the shop only charged me $150. This is just a temporary solution because my eventual goal is to get the quad tips but with mine not being the Premium model, I'll need to get a whole new rear...
I am wondering the same thing as well for the remote turn-on. When I was an installer, I'd tap signal and remote-turn on directly from the harness that connects to the radio and I'm almost thinking of doing that now. Allows me to add a kill switch to the amp to turn it off completely...
So the other day I was driving a 2016 Benz E63 S (what an amazing car, no manual option, so I'd never get it, even if I could afford it). Anyways, it had alcantara on the steering wheel! It felt amazing. Do you guys know if they make wraps that you can stitch on that would fit our mustangs...
So now that we don't use the Tapatalk app, we must use the mobile browser. Anybody have the issue where it keeps refreshing and zooming-in repeatedly on iOS to the point that that you can't write in the forum or even view things??
Hi all,
Has anyone installed it themselves that found any little tips and tricks to make the install easier and less troublesome? The video by MGW is really good but anybody have anything they would've done differently if they can do it again that they'd like to share?
Thanks!
I have a 12" box. How are you guys bolting them down without hitting the gas tank? Where did you guys position them to leave as much room as possible? Pics would be great!
Much thanks!
I understand the music part will be impacted, but my question is more towards other general electrical issues. Has anyone know an instance where say, the ignition goes bad or timing is off, and the dealer comes back and says the system did it.
Hello,
Anyone know of the warranty ever being an issue after installing an amp? With having to tap the battery and rear speakers, I can find a reason why the dealer would try to void the warranty when an electrical issue comes up (such as with the ecu, or anything really, seeing as to how...
First, I'll share my horror story. When I was in high school, I worked at Best Buy as a mobile installer. My manager had a 2001 Mustang Cobra with an override. He lent it to a coworker to get food for him. That guy left it in gear and no brake. He started it and watched it take off right...
What's the total wattage? No issues either when disconnecting the positive terminal from the battery? Did you tap your speakers with a line-out converter?
Thanks!
Hello,
this is the most "electronically" advanced car I've owned and I'm a little worried about adding an amp to it. Should I add a capacitor? Will adding a 600W amp and subwoofer have any negative impacts on the electronics of the car? This being my first car with HID lights, is there...
