  1. What other cars did you consider before you decided on your Mustang?

"Ford get their $*it together to become a LOYAL buyer, huh??" Yes. A loyal buyer. When I typed that, I am solely referring to my experience as a buyer and owner. This thread is about what other cars people have considered before they bought their mustang. I will take a wild guess/assumption...
  2. What other cars did you consider before you decided on your Mustang?

I considered a 2017 Toyota 86 before my EB mustang. I went to my local toyota dealer to check it out. I think the brz/86's are GREAT looking cars, however, the price tag was 29k for a basic interior (didnt even have push start button - I know, silly - but in terms of what you get for the $$, I...
  3. Fuel efficiency of EcoBoost Premium HPP

Why not higher octane? Youd enjoy it even more....
  4. What's your current milage at?

Seeing this gives me hope! Im at 85k !
  5. idle problems

Apparently it is a pretty inexpensive part and easy to change. When I bought my car I also bought the 100k extended warranty so purge valve and injectors were covered and dealer did work. I dont know how many miles are on your 2016 but eventually the AC evaporator will also malfunction lol mine...
  6. idle problems

@ 54k miles, my CEL light came on - first and only time that happened. According to notes, O2 sensor indicating TOO lean -- found p0171 , tech performed eec test -- tech advised to change INJECTORS. They were replaced. 25k miles later and issue has NOT come back. I hate that as owners we KNOW...
  7. Best Exhaust

Personally I recommend the MBRP race catback. Not quad, though... But, yes, there's a bunch of vids and even a thread here you could use to make your decision. I, personally, like a deep tone (mbrp race) rather than high pitched one. We could recommend all we want but, ultimately, it is your...
  8. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

Remember to pump 93 octane. Also, you have to put more miles...Im sure it will feel faster. Its more than just 20 hp , though.
  9. CAI or Cobb Tuner Kit w/CAI ? (NOOB)

K&N is a pretty popular one. Just browse the internet high flow drop in filter - making sure it fits the year and model...there's also one called green filter (not oiled). The stock box is shown to be most efficient so no need to get a cai...
  10. exhaust gives me headaches

You will eventually get used to it. When I installed my mbrp RACE in my car I remember thinking "Omg what did I do!?" cuz I , too, at the time would drive highway to go to work and it was just weird.. I do believe there is a break in period, and after a while you will get used to it. I love...
  11. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

Yeah, likely. My '16 EB is rated at 5.5 0-60. I am able to achieve that in temps that range between 70-78F and with a slight launch as shown above. I haven't bothered to try at LOWER temps (though car feels faster, duh) nor in HIGHER temps cuz I highly doubt I'd be doing 5.5--5.8s in 85F PLUS...
  12. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

Well, I drive a stock '16 EB coupe with 80k miles. Been pumping 93 since 10k miles. Car pulls.. no problem with being quicker than most... the below was performed in 73 F temps (IAT's around 75F) , slight launch at 1500 rpms..
  13. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

Remember that it likely had 87 in the tank, and likely low miles thus not even broken in. All EB need 93 octane to make its rated HP. So once filled with 93 and properly broken in:cwl:..the thing will be wow fast lol
  14. Radio is not working

So today my CEL light came on...coincidentally, today my radio wont turn on, either. During ownership of my s550, it has happened before that for some ODD reason the radio just doesnt work...its happened at least 5-8 times during my ownership - about 3 years. Today when I first turn on the car...
  15. Factory Plugs with 82k

I changed mine at 45k (car was running a little funny but ended up being something else), the plugs looked very good even at 45k... Decided to proceed anyway cuz I had already bought the plugs. Went OEM. So likely these cars CAN indeed wait until 80-100k for plug changes, at least stock cars.
  16. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

Agreed. Its just odd that it's almost April and there is NOTHING out there to confirm its performance numbers... NOTHING. I mean there's quite of few vids of 18+ EB's doing 13.3 - 13.4 @ 101 -102 mph 1/4 miles in 60's F temp...Im sure the HPP could be doing 12.7-13 @ 105mph? IDK ...
  17. Feedback on keeping EB mustang with over 100k mi

Thanks! will keep an eye on all that. And yes, lol as I mentioned in my other post part of my higher balance is due the 2k extended warranty PLUS 1k GAP (that you just reminded me I added) and the 2.5K neg equity I carried. If I hadnt I'd owe about 8.5 k.. SO yes, Ideally Id be keeping the car...
  18. Feedback on keeping EB mustang with over 100k mi

Well the car drives smooth and with no vibrations, just lately upon *sudden* braking does a very slight vibration (not smooth) I will bring it up during my next maintenance... have any idea what that could be? brakes? what you mentioned? I dont know much about fixing cars  Before my...
  19. 2020 Ford Mustang 2.3 High Performance FRPP Power Pack

I keep waiting for more info on the HPP... So far I have not found any testing done to confirm its performance numbers. Nothing much on youtube either... Im sure FORD will EVENTUALLY do a power kit but doubt it would be any time soon.
