Hello!
Let me copy and paste from a post I made a few months ago with the issues I had with my car.
I own a 2016 EB, bought with 10k miles and now I am at 88k mi. STOCK ECU. Only MBRP catback.
Along with buying the car, I bought the 100k extended warranty. So far 3.5 years of ownership.
Ive...
When I bought my '16 I added the extended warranty from Ford. I think it was 1800 - 2000k. PREMIUM CARE package. If I remember correctly - its to 100k mi.
I bought mine CPO with 10k mi. Im at 87K mi now.
At first, a few nights after the purchase, I regretted the decision. Then I had to have a...
You have 170,000 miles in your EB? damn.
Im just speaking in terms of performance. The car doesnt make its rated HP on 87. In terms of reliability, Im not sure.
I bought my '16 EB with 10,000 in the odometer and since Ive only pumped 93. Im at 86K miles now. Its plenty fast in stock for me. An...
You should not be pumping 87 on the EB mustang to begin with. Pretty sharp power loss..and since youre asking about tuning that means you want power, that of which youre not fully getting out of the car in stock form.
As for tuning, if Im not mistaken, most require 91/ 93. There are plenty of...
I would ask myself the following:
Do I spend money NOW on new tires?
or
Do I RISK doing track day and free way to possible get into an accident (by hydroplaning), in which Id have to pay MORE (higher rates, etc), crash my car have it depreciate, hit other car(s) ...
If the latter, Id always...
The first replacement to the stock AS Pirelli was the Firehawk Indy 500's
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Firehawk+Indy+500&partnum=54WR9FHI5XL
After those needed change 35k miles later, I did a lot of research and installed these...
Well, yes. Then everyone in this thread will give you their personal input.
How about you go to the dealer, ask to test drive a BASE EB / same set up and see if there is any difference? That way youll possibly rule out anything that COULD be wrong with your care. Compare.
If the ride remains...
Title says 2020 EB convertible, yet his description says 2016 EB convertible.
If the latter , then yes, he needs to get his car in for a check up.
I have 19in in my '16 EB and ride is not ROUGH as he describes, non PP. Of course I switched the pirelli p zeros AS (that I agree SUCK)...but if...
As a '16 EB owner...I disagree..I cannot think of any reason why an 8 second run is even possible... UNLESS it is raining / wet roads plus hot and humid, etc...lol
OP states outside temps were 95F...maybe he had been idling for a prolonged period of time getting those IAT's at or above...
Im sure there is more to it than just going from regular to premium...EDIT: you were pumping 91...so , yea, it wouldnt be that drastic.
You wont go from 8 to 6 sec ...
other things are to blame for the 8 seconds you were getting...
How many miles in the car? What were you IAT's? 10R80? just out...
Exactly what I thought, too.
Yes, regular fuel reduces power but shouldnt be the reason for getting 8 seconds, AT ALL.
Even with higher temps. In my 2016 I can still manage 6.1 sec in mid 90Fs...(IAT = 93F)...always on 93.
He'd have to be EXTREMELY heat soaked...Idk.. like doing a run with...
Sound is subjective. However, the EB with certain set ups either sound more high pitched or low pitched. The MBRP race is low pitched. I Like a low growls/rumble. I had the $600, so why not. At the time that I bought my exhaust , end of 2017, the price was $600 , but compared to OTHERS , the...
muffler delete on the EB sounds too ricey. Nope.
Im glad I went with mbrp carback race.
I think I read somewhere that a muffler delete leads to power loss. Not sure if on the low , mid , or upper rpms though...
EXACTLY. I feel like I am one of the FEW EB owners that are NOT concerned with mpg's and saving at the pump.
It really isnt that much youre saving, anyway.
I enjoy the smiles per gallon, even on the EB lol. I will say, though, that with the 5.0 Id be making MORE stops....
The EB on 87 makes...
