Do you think the diff bushing being torn all the way around the bolt could be the reason for this clunking?
I gotta see if the carrier bearing is okay. I hope it is.
The only time I notice it is when I go over lane dividers at slower speeds (going into my apartment complex) or big bumps in the street in my parents neighborhood.
Other than that, dead silent. I really don’t know what else it could be. It happened around the same time I noticed my diff...
Unfortunately it’s a daily driver and I have to drive it until the parts come in and my car goes to the shop. I’m not doing the install myself! But I appreciate the tips. I’m beyond pumped for the installed new bushings.
This is awesome to hear!
I’m hoping it’ll clear up the rear clunk at low speeds over bumps (assuming the diff hits the subframe when I hit bumps causing the noise) and the vibration im having in my floorboards. Started with the torn bushing so I’m assuming that’s it.
I’ve been driving on a torn bushing for a year and a half, it’ll be fine for a few more weeks lol, I’m just curious if I’m gonna have to wait a while for my bushings from Kelltrac. I should’ve just bought them on lethal.
Hey everyone. I just ordered from their website for my differential bushing replacements for $299. Mine have been torn for longer than I’d like to admit and they seem to be so so about shipping times.
I’m kind of anxious and want to replace this stuff ASAP. But I want to know if you guys have...
Should I worry about shipping times with KellTrac? Upon reading more on their website it seems like their attitude is “you get it when you get it, be patient” but I would like to do this install ASAP. Not gonna be thrilled if it takes weeks for me to get them.
I did buy the Kelltrac ones. And I did replace those rear lower control arms a few months back so we are good there! I’m glad someone mentioned this, it seems like a good option for no increase in NVH
I did watch that. The cradle is much more easily removed than expected. Something I still find the value in just paying someone to do it for me personally.
For now I think I’m good.
I just replaced springs, and rear control arms (spring perch) arm a few months ago with the same shop. I’m not sure what else might be a good idea. What are the benefits to the upgraded toe links? Also
Do you think these bushings will be nice? They look like regular...
