I'm digging up an old thread. I recently installed a new EPAs in my 2017 because I believed the old one was causing clunks when going lower speed over bumps.
New rack I purchased showed it was compatible with my car and was specific for 19x9.5 wheels. I have upgraded 19x10 wheels so I...
It could be partly due to local driving conditions. I've noticed that the NVH increase happens much worse over different road types. What those types are I have no idea, but it changes drastically when I go from one type of asphalt to another on the highway. Road materials change between...
I recently installed a little Kicker Amp and sub in the wife's suv. I was really impressed. The Amp has a built in feature to set the gain. It actually tells you where clipping occurs. It also has a built in EQ which sets a nice flat signal input to the amp. So no need to buy an additional...
I believe you can reprogram it. I'm about to replace mine as well due to some low speed clunking it causes. Requres ForScan.

Those classic brands make some really good speakers these days. Alpine, Kicker, Fosgate. Their Amps are pretty great too. I put an alpine 10" sub in my mustang and I'm very pleased with it. For the wife's SUV I put a Kicker shallow mount and it also sounds great.
Blaque Diamond. I wanted something that wasn't common on these cars. These have the perfect offset for 10 front 11 rear.

Looking to replace my rack and pinion due to the clunking I get over low speed bumps. When I search there are so many part numbers that pop up.
Which one should I pick and what exactly are the differences between them? Is it just a programming difference or are there physically different...
This info is gold. Thanks for sharing. Makes me wonder whether the AMP branded gears would be any sort of upgrade over the oem gears? Being that 2015 shows updated gears with tougher surface finishing.
Thanks for this info. I have already read your build thread and took notes! :) With this build, I'm mainly looking for smoother shifts. I'm not planning to boost the car. For me, 400HP is plenty.
I've searched quite a bit. I can only find a company called AMP and another called Allstate Gears. AMP seems to be the only one that shows an upgrade on their parts being stronger than stock. A couple other places sell gears, but they appear to be a reseller for AMP.
Does anyone know of...
Do a blindfold test to see if you can tell which filter is installed. Get someone to swap them out randomly. Then drive the car to see if you can feel it.
I don't think this thing is all that bad. Once I put the MGW shifter, braided stainless clutchline, and Steeda assist spring, this thing shifts pretty good. My 1-2 and 2-1 shifts at slow speeds can be little pinbally, but everything else is pretty smooth going in and out of gear.
One of...
I had a clunking noise that occurred over bumps That was fixed with new endlinks. The ball joint on one of the front links was bad.
Now I'm getting a clunk over low speed bumps. But not anything over 25mph. I think this one is my steering rack.
