Probably somewhere in between. They smoke some but nothing crazy. Was told too much isn't helping and only wasting rubber. My tire pressure is 15-16 psi
Very nice times! I ran right in that range too when I was bone stock about this time last year. Almost exactly the same car, Premium, 3.15 auto, had same size tires and wheels but have dark stainless wheel option. In nice cool air in late October I ran an 8.19 @ 86 followed by a couple more runs...
Can you feel a difference with new tune on the ole butt dyno? I'm thinking I'll need to change shift points on the auto. Probably need to shift a bit sooner.
I've never attempted to remove my halfshafts but your troubles sound like what many of us experience when we do these things for the first time. Busted knuckles and emotional scars!
Well, I bought one too. Might be a couple weeks before I get to install it with my work travel schedule but looking forward to seeing how it performs. Probably get a dyno and update my tune. Rob Shoemaker already said he would adjust the tune.
bluebeastsrt, I could use your input. I have used your suggestions for tire pressure on my MT ET Street Rs (275/40-17). I'm running them at 15-16 psi. I foot brake until the suspension squats, which is about 1500, then hammer it on the 3rd amber and sometimes it will either bog slightly then go...
Tire pressure is 15-16 psi, I do a burnout just long enough to get a bit of smoke. Track prep varies. Maybe I can do a longer burnout. What tires pressures are others running in M/T ET Rs?
I blow the tires off when I foot brake to 1000 RPM then floor it on the 3rd amber. It's like it hits the stock stall harder than when I foot brake to 1500 and completely load the suspension before hammering it. I can't get my 60 ft times below 1.90
I can certainly see the benefits of the increased torque at a lower RPM for Auto X folks and daily drivers who just want more punch earlier in the RPM range. Would this end up being bad for those of us who occasionally drag race? I run at a couple 1/8th tracks and a 1/4 track. I wonder if this...
Thinking about adding these to my car. I only have a tune and CAI for power mods at this time. I have the BMR Cradle Lockout, BMR 81/88 springs (rears are drag spings), and diff bushings. I run M/T ET Rs 275/40-17s at the track and I'm not able to get below 1.90 60 ft times with my auto (3.15)...
I went from stock to aluminum pucks and they did have some NVH. I ended up switching those out for the Steeda red bushings that are the softer durometer. No noticeable NVH. Could probably have gone to the black ones. They certainly help with wheel hop along with the Cradle Lockout kit.
If you also the Steeda alignment bushings at the same time it prevents you from cross threading the bolts. They sell a set that fit with the BMR Cradle Lockout Kit. Great to do both together.
I have a 2015 GT auto with flex fuel tune, PMAS, BMR Cradle Lockout Kit, Differential bushings, BMR drag springs, and M/T ET Street Rs 275/40-15. Still on stock stall. Tire pressure is at 15-16psi. I am footbraking enough to load suspension which is about 1500 RPM and then flashing on 3rd amber...
