I work from home and only drive about 8,000 per year. I have always preferred a manual in a sports car. I don't really have to deal with traffic very much so that isn't really a factor for me. I have plenty of time to figure things out before I pull the trigger. I appreciate everyone's input.
What RPM did you launch at? Did you use Launch Control? Did you turn off all the nannies? Please let us know how well the BMR cradle lock out kit performs.
I just feel like sports cars and manual transmissions go together like peanut butter and jelly. I wouldn't hate having an auto, but I might miss rowing the gears during "spirited" driving.
I know it will take some practice to learn the best launch RPM, shift points, etc to achieve the best times. That is part of the fun. I accept the challenge!
It is crazy that the autos are THAT much faster. I can see a tenth or two but 1/2 sec is a substantial amount. I would like to better understand why there is such a difference between the two.
