Emt1581, sounds like many of us had the same reservations. You sound like you have been pretty diligent in making the decision and have done your homework. I was nervous too when I bought mine, but I haven't regretted it one minute. I'm on my 6th Mustang, but my 2015 is the first one I have had...
Stangrcr67, are those tires a bit wide for the 9.5 wheels? I love the look of that setup! I have the same color and the same BMR drag springs. I'm looking for a drag wheel and tire setup. Not sure what mods you have, how does your hook with this setup? I don't have the shocks. Did someone tell...
Dang, I'm running 8.19 @ 87 in the 1/8. That is about a 12.60 in the 1/4. All I had is cradle lockout and diff bushings. Stock tires and everything else.
Anyone ever go to Knoxville Dragway for Test N Tunes? There are a couple of Saturday times on March 11 and 18 from 12-5 and then on Fridays from 5-10 until November. I am going to the two Saturday TNTs and will make some Friday times here and there. It would be good to get a few folks down there...
Great work! Even better info. I currently have Pypes Street Pro Axle back and love the sound and volume level but don't want it any louder. At some point I want to add long tubes but I don't want an obnoxiously loud car. I want the HP gain without all the volume. Maybe a combo of resonators and...
Planning to make that trip from Knoxville and participate in the True Street event. Should be a good time. Maybe some of the M6G folks and congregate somewhere.
Thanks for the feedback. All very valid information. I can certainly see how the composite intake just doesn't have the same issues as the big aluminum intakes did. I guess old habits die hard so I did it after getting my 2015 because it's what I did with all my old Fox body Mustangs.
"Also regarding the 2015 Challengers yes you have to buy a separate computer that's unlocked in order to tune it but you still won't be able to hide it from Dodge even if you swap in the old/factory computer. The factory gauge cluster won't match up." 2015 Silver GT.
Do you care to elaborate...
I usually try to get to the track as early as possible so I can pop the hood, apply ice bag(s) to the intake and CAI and let it cool as long as possible before my first pass. I try not to make more than two passes before I let it sit again. I try to let it sit for at least 30 mins depending on...
Seems like everyone did this back in the days of Fox bodies. I still do this, but I didn't see others doing it. Are they missing out or am I just a dork? I may be a dork regardless...
My cousin has an Challenger R/T and they have to unlock their computer to get it tuned. Some of those Challenger folks get a separate computer to tune and then can put the original back in for any service work to keep warranty in place. Anyone ever heard of someone doing that with a Mustang? Not...
