Like you I am not a fan of supercharged cars (& and even less Turbo lag), and love the "arms race", however notwithstanding no shortage of "informed" speculation, we do not know what Ford have planned in response to the new Corvette, and a viable replacement for the Shelby 662Hp GT500. (although...
Thanks for clarifing that Matt, I supose there is a big benefit in having a LHD car in the UK if you enjoy regular European grand Touring (in style!!).
Really appreciated the Vids (especially the "exhaust" vid), and very nice driving !!
Thanks !! Thats more like it !! Not bad with 3-up - obviously someone was in the back holding the camera/phone.
Presumably this is your car (not a local hire) - Left Hand Drive in the UK ?
So much for the credibility of the nanny-state Euro NCAP "tests" !!
Glad you both got out relatively unscathed. It could have been a lot worse if you was in a Korean rice burner etc!
This must compensate for the power drop over 7250 - although tis is for a 435Hp 5.0 Coyote not the GT350
Perf Pkg 3: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9452-M8
Includes GT350 cold air intake with 87mm throttle body and GT350 intake manifold M-9424-M52
37hp and 5lbs/ft peak gains...
You do not detail the options pricing & Preformance Gains, however the Ford Performance Pack 3 gives an extra 60Hp @ 7500 Rpm & 37 Hp overall (471 Hp), with an extra 5 FtLbs TQ for $2,400:

470 is on the Tacho....have a look.
Does that mean its......... 4,700 Hp ? (lol)
BTW: Why would Ford go to the trouble of completely redesign the engine - (exc the Crankshaft) including significantly increasing Comp Ratio 11 to 12:1 and the redline - for a pathetic 20-40hp gain ...
Engines, like babies, are NEVER born Fully Formed. Many people seem to nievely & incorrectly think that (behind the scenes) Research & Development Stops the moment the engine is released, with no potential for improvement or over-the-horizon (as yet unseen) ONGOING development conducted -...
Yes, Ford are so Lazy they completely rebuilt the 5.0 with "the Crankshaft the only carryover part" - giving significantly more low end Torque, top-end Power & REVS...
All the indications would point to a radical improvement - as a starting point, with plenty of future - over the horizon...
Agreed, Ford have had a stock 500+ HP Crate N/A 5.0 Coyote for a couple of years, and in view of the reinvigorated culture at Ford, and the completely revised (new) 5.0 engine with dual fuel delivery & 12:1 Comp etc, a 10% increase over the Mk2 435Hp engine is not inconcieveable. My guess 475Hp.:D
