  1. Edelbrock E-Force Troubleshooting Manual

so my last conversation with lund regarding boost they said it can't go safely over 12psi on pump gas. what have PBD said to you?
  2. Edelbrock E-Force Troubleshooting Manual

mine came with Ford racing 47lbs Lund won't tune the bbk. craigj on here got one too and it failed on his first journey. pile of crap as far as i can tell.
  3. head unit hiss (sync3)

yeah sure, was aware it wasn't the correct solution. still not sure what that is though. am unsure how or if it's even possible to get a balanced signal into an RCA connector. bottom line is, i'm not going to waste any more time on it. i have minimal hiss now, like virtually unnoticeable at...
  4. Incoming/outgoing phone calls no sound sync 3

Is it the same for MFT to Sync3 upgrade? Thats what mine is Cheers
  5. Incoming/outgoing phone calls no sound sync 3

What forscan settings did u use then? Ive just noticed i have this issue too since removing the equalisation. Pretty sure they were the settings in the excel file though...
  6. head unit hiss (sync3)

It has one pair of inputs, and 2 pairs of outputs, 1 fixed, and 1 controlled by the volume control which is the units primary purpose.
  7. head unit hiss (sync3)

i don't claim to be an expert on it, but the main difference is that in a balanced setup there are 2 cables carrying a signal, unbalanced there is only 1. In our cars both the + and - cables at the factory amp carry a signal. Remember there is no RCA cable in the factory setup so the 3...
  8. head unit hiss (sync3)

Issue resolved. Signal from head unit at amp harness is balanced. Dayton DSP doesn't accept balanced signals. Bought a JL CL-RLC bass controller which outputs an unbalanced signal. Worked like a charm and i now have an active noise free bass remote as an added bonus!!
  9. Powered sub ground location

Its perfect. I undid it and took it to bare metal too as it's painted under there
  10. What wires to tap to illuminate boost gauge?

have you actually got the gauge yet? the one i have (which i've not installed yet due to laziness) is virtually impossible to see without it lit up. basically the light is essential on this one so worth checking.
  11. head unit hiss (sync3)

i don't think it's the issue, but i certainly like the idea of it behaving like stock and not shutting off as soon as i turn off the ignition. Order placed, cheers :like:
  12. head unit hiss (sync3)

Did it a year ago, cant recall what it was but it was in the loom with all the rear speaker cables. One used by lots of people. Blue/white. I tried using the remote out from the amp harness but its only 6v (i think) and wont turn on the dsp-408, but will turn on the amps. There's no noise...
  13. head unit hiss (sync3)

Been chatting to some of the gurus on the audio forums and might be on to something with the balanced signal. Ordered a jl convertor. Hoping thats my issue.
  14. head unit hiss (sync3)

Can i ask how u wired in the rcas to the low level? Just pos to pos. Neg to neg on each? No shield or anything anywhere? My main gripe is when it goes to hands free phone calls, the hiss with dsp is unbearable. Im sure my non dsp hiss is what u have, i cant believe anyone who's spent what we...
  15. head unit hiss (sync3)

I bet that sounds awesome. Where are u taking the factory signal from? High level or low level? Ur right on there where do u stop bit, with my loud injectors intercooler pumps etc chasing hiss seems a little daft
  16. head unit hiss (sync3)

Which dsp are u using? How much power u running inti ur speakers etc? Details of ur setup would be great if poss. This is really loud, if i plug straight into the amps its there but much much quieter and what i would call normal in a car setup, these things have signal to noise ratios after...
  17. Amp bypass low level RCA wiring and type of signal

Hi Can anyone confirm the correct method of wiring in an RCA plug to the factory system? Ive bought one of these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_794HARFO3/iDatalink-HRN-AR-FO3-Harness.html And located the correct pairs of signal cables and just connected them logically, as in positive to...
  18. head unit hiss (sync3)

nope, read that before i bought it so didn't bother with it. ok, so i have already tried that and it made no difference unfortunately. Mine is RHD though, i'm not sure where the factory amp is on your cars. the ground I re-routed was bolted to the right hand side of the right hand...
  19. head unit hiss (sync3)

was my first thought too but if i use a source other than the head unit, i/e my phone into the DSP input then it plays with no hiss. does that not rule it out? think the morels prove this isn't a beer budget system :cwl:
  20. head unit hiss (sync3)

where should the amp gains & volume be when I'm adjusting the DSP volume initially? amp gain at zero & volume 80%? the amp gain increases the hiss, but even at zero gain it's still clearly audible.
