The "Flex" tune simply adjusts timing based upon the observed ethanol content the wide bands see.
The E85R tune operates under the assumption you have like 75%+ ethanol in there and puts more timing in down low/earlier.
If you are running an E85 only tune, you need to be testing the ethanol...
Since you are in TX like me, you'll just need to make sure that you have catalytic converters on the car when it is inspected and that it has no CEL's. As long as those two things are good, you'll pass any computer or visual inspection that's done on the car.
I'm not sure on the particulars in...
The gain from L/T's is going to be completely dependent upon what modifications you have on the car and/or are going to put on there. If you are not going to run E85 (Like really 75%+ ethanol content) then you're not going to see the kind of gains you're expecting it to have.
These cars have a...
Mini-Update:
No way was I going to put the 2020 GT500 valve-covers on my car just as bare aluminum. I had a local friend of mine powder-coat them for me along with my stock STB.
Cobra Jet will bolt directly on, but you will also have to buy a specific TB for it. Either a twin-bore or elliptical TB and also the Ford Racing Cobra Jet CAI to make it work. It may or may not fit under the stock hood so you'll probably have to lower the motor down to have enough clearance...

.040" is stock thickness.
It appears Cometic has come out with several other options here in the past few months because when I bought mine, the only 2 options that were available were either .040" or...
E85 is going to be the absolute key to making big power on these cars N/A. These are already 12:1 from the factory so increasing compression even further with a thinner gasket on pump gas probably is not a good idea unless you know for certain that the 93 octane you are getting is really sweet...
Another note:
If you are going to utilize the 2020 GT500 oil pan/pickup, you're going to need the 2020 GT500 dipstick tube and dipstick. The stock GT350 units will not be long enough to get a proper oil reading. This will also necessitate that you buy the 2020 GT500 valve covers as well because...
I called Mantic and asked them about this as they indicated that the kit includes new bolts. I guess at the time my kit was shipped out there was a shortage of bolts and instead of holding the kits up from shipping just for flywheel bolts, they just shipped the kits out. They indicated they ship...
A couple more from today:
Got the ATI balancer, water pump/pulley and tensioner on.
MMR Billet Rear cover and billet timing wheel. Mantic Twin-Disc going on tomorrow.
Note: My Mantic clutch kit did not include any flywheel bolts. The ARP one's I bought that I thought would work and be...
A little teaser shot from earlier today.
Got the American Racing 2" Primary Long-Tube Headers wrapped up in DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap. You can also see the 2020 GT500 oil pan there on the motor for increased oil capacity. Also present is a Powermaster 245-amp alternator for additional power...
I'll try to post some pics up, but not much to post at the moment as the intake manifold isn't on the motor yet and it's not back in the car yet either.
Should be getting to that point here very soon. Had to go buy some ARP bolts for the intake manifold today at Summit.
Update:
Got the motor sealed up earlier today and test-fit the headers. All looked good. Getting the Mantic Twin-Disc put on and will top it off with the intake manifold here in the next day or so.
Update:
Headers arrived on Saturday so I got them dropped off at the shop yesterday. Looking to get the motor sealed up, headers on, and put back into the car here in the following days.
I'm reasonably certain the only relation it might have to the Voodoo motor is that it has a flat-plane crank. I doubt it's the same firing order as that seems to be unique to this engine vs. other flat-plane crank motors from other manufacturers.
It probably doesn't hurt that it has an...
Update:
Been waiting on ARH 2" L/T Headers to set this thing off. Got tracking today so hopefully will have this thing sealed up and back together here in the coming weeks.
