Chris and Zeke,
It's maybe a slight obssession of mine, but whenever someone says something about an increase in power, my brain is always like "Yeah, but what about a torque curve comparison across the entire operating range?" - probably because I'm the type who'll be willing to give up a...
I don't suppose anyone's created a single graph with the torque curves plotted of the 2018 vs the 2015-2017?
Be interesting to see where they're close and where the deviations are...
Just that startup . . I think I'd be ecstatic if I got my 2015 GT to sound like that!
I didn't think I'd like the Royal Crimson. Other pics I've seen (not many, admittedly) here and there made me think "Meh". But... somehow, your pics look better than the others I've seen with this color. I...
Dang, it does sound more aggressive - dammit, can I get mufflers on my plain-jane 2015 GT that will make it sound that way?
Or is it the exhaust PLUS the tweaks to the engine?
You know, I like it - and I like that there are multiple arrangements, BUT . . I don't think I'd pay extra for it.
In fact, if my 2015 had one SLIGHT difference, I'd be content.
Show me what gear the automatic transmission is currently in. Leave the "current gear" number lit at all times. Is...
I discovered relatively that time passage is also counted.
That is, once I was approaching the 1-year mark for my car (it's a garage queen), the oil life indicator dropped rapidly.
So, it looks like (and another thread where I'd inquired confirms this) that, regardless of driving, it will tell...
Ok, so, if what I've read from the BobIsTheOilGuy website is true, the first number really only indicates relative thickness when cold.
And, from the same source, when cold, 0 is still thicker than 30 is at 212 degrees Fahrenheit.
Given the OEM recommendation of 5W20 synthetic blend, is there...
Interestingly, I thought the same as well, and brought it to the dealer to get it done. The person at the shop said that I should hold off until about 5k miles, even though I told him the car (and oil in it) was just over a year old...
I do make sure to NOT use it for short trips, though.
Any...
I've generally driven mostly highway, with the very occasional leaning heavily on the throttle from a stop.
I had a suspicion that time passing was accounted for. On a related note, that was why I was considering full synthetic rather than synthetic blend, as I'd been under the impression...
All,
Ok, so I've had my Mustang for a little over a year. It has about 2,400 miles on it now.
The computer is now telling me that I'm due for an oil change. I assume that this is because of the time passed rather than the mileage.
I do have a few questions, though.
Does full synthetic...
This.... I'd always figured if I wanted any sorts of gains, I'd want low-RPM, cruising-speed increases in torque (preferably if better or at least unchanged fuel economy is part of the deal)
But is this number accurate?
I don't suppose they have torque vs RPM graphs of stock vs each power pack...
Yeah, this is an odd question, I know.
But, out of curiosity, which generation(s) of Mustangs were known for having a respectable amount of interior room - or, even if not respectable, more than the other generations.
I get it, they're really 2+2, but I'm curious as to whether any could seat...
Intriguing. And, having read through all this, I simply have to say....
Photos are one thing. They often don't show the subtleties. Seeing them in person is really the only way. In person made me throw away the conclusions I'd made about what colors I liked/disliked that were originally...
