And, sadly, get ticketed the first time you take it out.
Ask me how I know.... (different car years ago, front bumper had been replaced with one from a state that didn't require front plates - no holes or anything to attach it to . . my ultimate solution was . . . wait for it . . industrial...
Ok, maybe this has come up before, but I'm curious...
Are there actual power/torque curves (hopefully from Ford) that plot those values for each of the commonly available octane levels? Say, 87, 89, 91, and 93? (And maybe 92? I've seen some gas stations sell Premium here in NJ as 92...
I'm kind of unclear on why this would be a problem as far as the EPA is concerned. Keeping in mind, of course, that my knowledge of AOS's is barely more than "I know what the letters in the acronym stand for"
You durn kids get off my lawn! (said the guy with the orange car to the other guy with the orange car, LOL - yes, I realize the color is "loud")
Though, in all seriousness, exhaust-sound is like looks of the color, I think. Recording (for sound) or pictures (for color) doesn't really quite...
I'd always thought, given the very low 1st gear that most modern transmissions have, that 3.15s were no impediment to going fast.
Now I know for sure... Impressive!
All,
Ok, so I'm interested in hearing from V6 owners of the 2015, as well as various engine owners from the 5g cars, both 2005-2009, as well as the 2010-2014 refresh... and I'm specifically wondering what Weight Class your vehicle fell into for registration purposes.
(also, I think the weight...
I was driving it one night just for some abandoned highway cruising, but, first, I stopped at a gas station to put some air in the tires.
A guy pulls up in a 2013 silver V6 model, compliments me on he car, and we talk back and forth a bit about them.
One of my earliest drives, I'm at a...
I likely would've gotten a V6 model if it were to be a daily driver. But, since it's a weekend car (and given the somewhat unusual nature of the circumstances surrounding my purchase), I went with a GT.
But, I am certain the V6 would still have been notably faster than any of the 20-odd cars...
But was it really that much slower? If I recall correctly, the 2004 GTO was a high-13s, maybe very low 14s car. That may well have been a wake-up call for Ford.
By 2005/2006, while the GTO did about 13.2 or so in the 1/4 mile, the 2005 Mustang GT was maybe only 2-4 tenths slower.
I wasn't in...
I know those front lights are meant for camouflage, but I couldn't help thinking.
Maybe Wagon Queen has finally decided to branch out from merely offering the Family Truckster, and now has the Family Sports Coupe.
Likely because they're not exactly what one would call a comfortable vehicle.
I remember a Popular Mechanics article from the late 90s, maybe 2000, where they tested 15 SUVs.
With regard to the Hummer, they said (I may not have the quote EXACT, but it's pretty darn close)
"This was the...
I know what it really means, but I read this and I keep wondering how crystal meth is going to make a car run faster... because clearly one part of my brain has the sense of humor of a 12 year old.
That said, is it going to be difficult to confirm once you hit a dyno? I mean, while the stock...
Bahahaa! Oh, man, that's EXACTLY the same thing that occurred to me.
Anyhoo, I'm not particularly offended by it, but when it comes to the state, I guess they have to think about liability, they have to think about "Well why didn't someone say something when the customer ordered this, we...
44, although if anyone hot and single of the opposite gender asks, you are to lie to them and tell them I am 34, because that's what most people guess!
I . . uh, had a tendency for a while to get bored with something and get something else. Or to have a few somethings. I needed to keep a...
