  1. Interesting read on drag car lawman

I was at the home where the guy was restoring this in Scottsdale a couple of years ago. Cool to see it completed! He had a couple of awesome Mustangs there.
  2. Brembo Banjo Bolt Torque Spec

Good question. I've just tightened until if felt right and didn't leak. Having the torque spec would be nice.
  3. Stock clutch durability?

From all the posts I have read on failures and my own personal failure, 15-17 clutches fail from high RPM shifts, north of 7000. Clutches work perfectly fine and then for some reason, usually at the worst time, when you push in the clutch for a high rpm shift the centrifugal force pulls the...
  4. No clutch peddle... any Ideas greatly appreciated.

I was just going to say, it was a high RPM shift that blew the friction plate apart. Don't put a Ford clutch back in!
  5. Clutch replacement suggestions

Excedy Mach 500 with Billet steel lightened flywheel. I have beat the crap out of mine and still works perfectly.
  6. Clutch master cylinder DIY and other parts needed?

    No hydraulic fittings needed.
  7. Clutch master cylinder DIY and other parts needed?

I did a You Tube video on this (5 parts) and in it I specified a little blue plastic retaining clip that will likely break when removing and will need to replace. It is like $2. The video is not great, I am no editing guy, thus 5 videos. Can't remember which one shows it, I think #3. Just...
  8. Am I missing a part?

That goes at the bottom of the cylinder with 3 ball bearings in it. As you pull the ebrake, it rotates and the balls push the piston and thus the brake. When you release the ebrake it rotates the other way and the balls go back into the pockets, releasing the brake. Each caliper has 1 of...
  9. A word of advice

My 15 5sp you have to hold the start button and it will die. In gear or neutral.
  10. Clutch/brake pedal assembly removal

Yes you have to remove the entire pedal assembly. Then remove and replace the clutch MC from the assembly then replace the pedal assembly back into the car. If you remove the seat it will be WAY easier.
  11. Anyone one here run at Area 27?

I have followed this track since it was being built but I have never been there. It looks awesome being a fast 3 mile lap. I have an opportunity to run end of May and curious what people thought of it.
  12. Corsa sports vs extremes

I have Corsa Sport on my 2015 and love them. Having said that, I swear that after quite a few track days they are louder than they were when they were new.
  13. Clutch/brake pedal assembly removal

I had same problem, but I had broken a mounting tab on the brake switch. Rock Auto was like $3.
  14. Clutch/brake pedal assembly removal

Yea I would just give it a quick hard smack with a hammer
  15. Do you have proper track etiquette????

Yup, all 3. Closest I had to a crash was a guy breaking a simple rule, one point, one car. In the run groups I attend they have a rule one car per point. If a driver points 2 times, he is letting 2 cars pass him. In my situation it was a short passing area before a fast corner and I pointed...
  16. Clutch Chatter Reverse

    My RST was the same.
  17. Higher mileage (50k+ miles) manual cars, check your clutch pedals

Yes the pedal assembly is a PITA to get in and out. I will def keep this in the back of my mind, good write up.
  18. Tire recommendation for HPDE

Not going to the track to win. The OP is looking for a good track tire for their first HPDE. Do you think they are trying to win? Sheesh man. All I am saying is for the price you can get a good bunch of laps out of them and drive good on the street. Not everyone is going balls out. It is...
