  1. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

Ok it's going to be hell clocking and torqueing those bolts without a drive on lift. After looking at it I came inside and saw the thread BMR made about this. I'm going to have to put my thinking cap on for this one.
  2. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

It has been a year since installing it but I think I remember it threading by hand for a few turns. I'll try all you suggested and report back. If that doesn't work I will remove the CB005 and see if it still makes noise. It may be a couple days before I get to try it but I'll let you know...
  3. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

I just checked the spring isolator and it looks to be center and seated correctly. I put a jack under the control arm and made sure as the suspension compressed that the spring stays seated. No sound when I did that.
  4. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

Here are some pictures. Let me know if you want to see anything specific. I verified that the vertical links are tight. I'm just totally stumped.
  5. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

The vertical links are stock. I'll take a picture in a little while. I need a rest after all that troubleshooting. My arms are jello. :)
  6. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

I verified that the axle nut is torqued. The spring is seated correctly, I just checked it. I retorqued all the bolts associated with the CB005. I just had someone else drive the car while I had the rear seats down with my head in the trunk. I can't be totally sure but it sounds like it's...
  7. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

So the creak I'm hearing is not the shocks or mounts. I put the stock ones back on and it's still there. Steeda is kind enough to keep working with me to figure out what's causing it. I re-torqued the 4 subframe bolts as well as the clamps on my corsa exhaust, still there. I have BMR springs...
  8. Anyone else get rattle from Steeda billet shock mount?

I just put on the Steeda pro-action non-adjustable with the mounts. At first there was a rattle but then I tightened the nut down more and now there is the tapping/creaking on each side.
  9. Steeda Tech Tip - Adjustable Bumpstops for 2015-2018 Mustangs

Thanks! I'll be putting mine on this week along with proactions, shock mounts, and camber plates.
  10. BMR's SP089 Front / SP082 Rear "Minimal Drop" Springs: Now sold as a kit (SP763)

Agreed! Much easier to guide someone to this. For a street car this really is perfection.
  11. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

Steeda will have to comment on that but from the looks of the ball stud length anything more than a half inch this will be beneficial.
  12. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

I just saw that these are $249.95 so yeah they are worth it.
  13. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

So this is basically like the X5 ball joints for the S197 Mustang. I installed them and the bumpsteer kit on my 2005 Mustang. First thing to point out is the bumpsteer kit is really required if you are going to do this mod. This will change the angle of control arms to the tie rod so there...
  14. Benefit to autocross to learn car control?

Those are good points. The pressure and instruction are huge. I used to live in Ohio where it was a lot better. We would have 8 runs in a day on a minute and a half course. In Florida with the SCCA its 4 runs at 30 seconds each. I already had a lot of experience and I just needed to throw...
  15. Steeda's S550 Mustang Adjustable Bumpstop Kit - Now Available

SteedaTech, is this correct? I have the same setup and would like to know what you think.
  16. Benefit to autocross to learn car control?

So when I went from my 2005 Mustang to the 2015 I wanted to learn the limits before a track day. I used to autocross all the time with my 2005 but I barely do it now due to hardly getting any seat time. Especially if it's with the SCCA you will barely be in the car at all because of all the...
  17. 6’4” first HPDE event helmet clearance

I'm 6'4" too. I have my Recaros all the way down and my helmet will just barely touch the roof. For me it was all about adjusting the seat the best I could and really sinking into the seat. I've never had a problem once I get out on track.
  18. oil flowing down driver side exhaust pipe...

This happened to me. Dealer fixed and hasn't happened again since.
