  1. Went on the Dyno today

399 at the wheels and factor in 15% drive train loss you're at about 470 to the crank. Not bad at all.. Don't disregard dyno's.. it's good to use as a baseline.. The track is the ultimate test but driver mod, DA plays a HUGE roll as well. Listen to your butt dyno as well lol. The strange...
  2. 2018 Mustang refresh?

Why wait a year, life is short! Get the 16 or 17.. Ford is coming out with a tune that will really help things! GT all the way!!
  3. 2018 Mustang refresh?

I sat/driven in my co-workers 6th Gen.. it just doesn't have fog lamps and not sure about the rear view mirror dimming option. Also, it went up $500 for the 17 model and it's exactly the same as the 16. Fail on GM haha There's a lot of things the Standard on the base SS that the base GT doesn't...
  4. Mustang GT vs Chevy SS (not camaro)

I finally drove a 5th Gen SS a few weeks ago.. I made a thread on the VS section here. It def. felt heavy (3900 lb car) with some descent torque. I believe even the lighter 5th Gen 1LE ran a 12.9 so it def. has descent power. I'll imagine the SS to be a tad bit slower than the 5th Gen...
  5. 2018 Mustang refresh?

More than likely they are going DI you think? DI with an upgraded intake manifold, some aluminum body frame and the performance should really improve. Doesn't have to beat the SS but at least match it in terms of performance. Oh, and update the MT82 or switch to a Tremec!
  6. '17 GT350 vs '17 Camaro SS 1LE

You know, he could have got killed when the lady ran the red light. If you want to be an assh*le when someone could have got killed go do it somewhere else. That said, Wayne how about the new S550 GT in 2018? They are def. having a power bump with DI :D
  7. '17 GT350 vs '17 Camaro SS 1LE

Wonderfully said man. I love my GT and the other muscles... I just hate (not sure why) when the lil 4 bangers think they are king of the world when tuning their lil turbo cars. I get it, the RS, Ecoboost, STI's, Golfs are quick but when they rave how they kill V8's it just pisses me off. My...
  8. Ford Racing Tune - Ever going to happen?

For 1k, the 21HP and 24lb/ft doesn't sound too bad.. I wish it was a bit more but shifting the torque curve earlier in the power band is going to be badass!! That said, even the stage one is not a bad deal. Going to have some a really good kick by 4k rpm.. something the GT is really lacking...
  9. '17 GT350 vs '17 Camaro SS 1LE

I always wonder why the Camaro guys are here. Looks like ever since the 6th Gen came out, they're here to prove a point, to rub it in. But some are just car guys that loves to well, talk cars. I know I don't go to the Camaro forums..
  10. v6 vs ecoboost

Well I guess.. but high 12's, auto, IC, CAI is more realistic than mid 12's with just a with a tune and auto. All I'm saying is that its usually not that easy to crack in the 12's.. at least not without bolt ons and a tune. Heck, my auto GT will need a tune to run mid 12's. I get it, it's...
  11. v6 vs ecoboost

I had an EB with a tune. Been driving manuals for over 25 years. And there NO WAY A TUNE ONLY EB can smoke a stock GT running mid 12's (guess it's possible then). I have experienced both, have you?? The YouTube videos I just used as a reference along with a bunch of EB that have experienced it...
  12. Mustang GT vs Chevy SS (not camaro)

    They're almost 4k lbs.. It's basically a 5th Gen SS with 4 doors.
  13. 2018 Mustang refresh?

Damn, so DI will most likely happen for 2018. I, myself would have loved to have 40hp & 40lb/torque to keep up with the new SS. Been through a warranty headache so I learned my lesson, not modding my GT for the time being. Get the performance and drop about 100 lbs, the Stang will be hitting...
  14. v6 vs ecoboost

Don't want to be rude but you must be in negative DA, etc. I had a 91 tune, CAI and there's NO WAY I'm dipping into the 12's. I can show you x amounts of real life videos of EB with a 93 tune, bolts on with a IC and they will realistically run high 12's if that. My EB started to smoked, CEL for...
  15. Clutch took a dump!

Damn man that sucks! I feel for you and I'm not sure what is going on with the MT82's. The dealer should at least give a discount since you have been reporting this problem to them. What really sucks is that if you got a CPO, the powertrain warranty is 7 years, 100k miles. Now you're flagged...
  16. EB to GT

You pretty much nailed it. Nothing wrong with the EB at all, good power, average price, etc. The only downfall to majority of public's mind is that the EB/V6 is in a Mustang's body. The body that represented a V8 muscle/pony car engine for 50 years. The V8 will always be the engine in most...
  17. EB to GT

Here’s my list from own personal experience. 2015 Ecoboost Manual Pros -Great exterior styling -Fun 6 Speed -Good power, especially midrange -Good MPG -Very affordable -Very quick, feels light and agile -Very mod friendly with a lot of aftermarket support Cons -It’s a 4 banger -exhaust note...
  18. My EcoBoost story

Smoke on the highway, CEL showing a cylinder misfire a day later. Couldn't take it to the dealer since I was tuned. Service advisor mentioned that they WILL check for a tune since Ford announced a service bulletin (Asked when I was stock). Went back to stock, took off CAI and never put the...
  19. Wanted clutch spring assembly

Just the stock 2 tabs and the spring?
  20. EB to GT

Truth. You don't know how many friends/family (they're usually the meanest lol) gave me grief about the EB. The only ones who couldn't care less are the ones that don't give a rat's ass about performance, don't know Mustangs have a V6/V8 option, most women, other EB owners. Most guys looked at...
