Damn $700? That sucks bro but at least you tried. I was negative as well and just ate it.. I wasn't $700 a month tho that is crazy.
Well, at least you have the manual to have fun with. I kept waiting for the most incentives I can get and saved up a lot for the down. That helped the situation...
Have you driven the 5.0? I see a lot of EB with tune, bolt-ons that still can't beat a 5.0. There are a few in the fast list running into the 11's but they are pushing hard especially with the tune (E80, race gas, etc).
What mods do you have?
Here's a video of 93 tune + boltons vs stock...
For real! I watched I think EVERY SINGLE EXHAUST VIDEO on youtube for the EB.. Just can't the exhaust note on the V8! My service manager (Hardcore Mustang guy) who was cool with me putting an exhaust told me flat out.. "Don't put an exhaust on the EB. Don't waste your time since it doesn't have...
Yep, you're def. doing it for the engine and although I got a premium, I wouldn't hesitate one bit if it was a base model.
All I wanted was the 5.0 engine!
Hope you get yours one day and trust me, when I was looking around with the negative equity, getting denied with banks since I dont have...
That's ridiculous!! I would not pay $400 a month for insurance :(
Let me ask you this, if it can workout but you had to take a base model GT, would you give up your EB for it?
I agree! The .1 to .2 differences in the V6 Camaro and the EB just doesn't make that much more of a difference. When I had my EB with premium gas, over 3.5k the torque kicks in and it will feel fast. I'm sure you won't feel the power of the V6 Camaro unless you're pushing it close to redline. So...
What is holding you back? Do it, that little devil will stay on your shoulder as long as long as you have the EB.
Honestly, the EB when I purchased it wasn't bad and it was exciting. It was all the YouTube videos, forums that made fun of the EB.. Didn't care for the banter but eventually, it...
Very smart move and most EB owners who crave for more power probably thought the same.
I too had an EB and when I traded her for a GT.. It felt as if all the rainy days just turned into sunshine! My GT is stock and totally happy with the performance and SOUND.
Now if another GT pulls up next...
13.8 is a VERY impressive run for the EB and which it should be. You sir is a very smart man and I wish I didn't do an aftermarket tune when I owned an EB but can't change back time and you can only learn from it.
The Ford tune, when/if it comes out will be plentiful for the car IMO. The added...
That's what I have been trying to say that his SS is still ~100-150 lbs heavier!.. He test drove mine and mentioned that it wasn't that great over his 15 SS. I have an auto with 3.15 gears I believe (Just stock gearing).
If he drove a GT PP with the 3.73 gears, it will feel much faster and...
A lil bit of magazine numbers for reference since they use pro drivers to test and I have never driven a V6 Camaro
Jalopnik got the V6 at 13.7

Hot Rod got the V6 at 13.7...
Good write up and looked at it from both sides. A lot of testing has the Camaro V6 running mid 13's.. While the EB runs low 14's.. They're about the same weight and I'm baffled why the EB, with 310 HP/ 320 Torque run low 14's??!!!
My G35 coupe weighed as much as the EB with 280 HP and ran...
Read this thread with memeber JoeStang (middle of the thread http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35826).. he had Adam tune+ and his engine blew. Went back to stock and did the key cycle 100x and they still caught the tune, had to pay for his repairs out of pocket.
Now whether or...
Screw that 16 SS. I'm not talking about it anymore.. Long story short, went up against an M6 2016 SS (Another co-worker has one).. I'm thinking, okay I have an auto so driver mod is in my favor so it should be close..
Lost by 5-6 cars.. no kidding! As soon as he shifted to 2nd, he pulled hard...
Yeah that's right, much heavier. The curb weight is over 3900 lbs and the 15 1LE is about 3850 lbs..
A lot of people are praising the 1LE and yes, it's a good car for handling in the twisties but straight line performance.. it's just a hair faster than the SS because of the weight reduction...
Finally got a chance to drive the manual 2015 SS.
My honest feedback:
The SS def. felt heavier than the 5.0! The midrange torque was okay and it pulled steadily to redline. In terms of performance vs my auto 5.0, it felt about the same but heavier and bigger.
Now vs the 5.0 with PP and 3.73...
17x10 lightweight rims with a DR for the rear and a 17x5 front rim for the front. You would drop around 80 lbs of weight from the car and this would be rotational weight.
Damn you know your shit! Went through something similiar with my EB and that is why my new GT is bone stock. Consider it a lesson learned.
OP I hope everything works out for you. My mods, specifinally my tune was not reversable and I learned my lesson the hard way. Let's hope the problem at...
