I run a modified oem front bar. I drilled a hole 1 1/2inches forward of existing hole.
I did some rough measurements and I think it is pretty close to most aftermarkert bars on the softest setting.
Only if you car is a Performance Package car......if not, the only way to add the 19x9 wheels would be to also add all of the other PP parts. You'd have to do a complete package conversion.
Didn't mention 1LE. I would expect the "track package" to have more available adjustment range. And yes I would say that the 1.6 to 1.8 on the SS is in the same ballpark that a GTPP can get without slotting. Certainly not enough more to call out GM for having a better design.
I am definitely a little afraid of upseting the electronics. I have some Hawk money to spend. Might throw a set of hps 5.0 or hp+ in the rear and just see what happens.
Call it wishful thinking, or the fact that I really don't want to take the depreciation hit by trading my 16 for an 18, but I am not certain that the 18 automatically renders older models uncompetitive. I have seen a well driven s187 go extremely quick. The extra gearing can be helpful...
the order guide mentioned revised gearing. Can anybody confirm any changes? I am mostly concerned with second gear speeds for autocross. Any chance you can tell me what 2nd tops out at with the increased rev limit?
