Can't even imagine a course tight enough to downshift or even use 1st gear. IN a PP car at least, 2nd is already so short that putting power down can be an issue.
I ran an FRS in C Street last year and only came across one corner where I even considered going to first, and it's a gutless wonder.
Thanks for the info Des. I saw that Dick mentioned that the rebound range for the OTS yellow is pretty similar to the DA's that you are running.
I won't get much chance to play with them before the NWR pro solo in a couple of weeks so I want to take as best guess as I can on where to start.
To those with Koni Sports. I am installing mine tomorrow and am looking for ballpark place to start for the rebound adjustment. I suppose I'll start 1/2 way unless told otherwise.
What have you guys settled on for rear camber? I've seen anywhere from 1.5 to 2.2 negative. Mine measured out to about 1.2ish from the factory and I haven't changed it yet. My gut says that 1.8 or so might be better. Your thoughts?
Depends. Compound trumps tread design in wet/damp until dealing with standing water.
I would choose RE71R unless it's a monsson.

You are allowed to slot the upper strut hole up to 2mm. I don't have the file handy but I'm pretty sure it's in this thread somewhere. Shoild get you between 2.2 and 2.5 dregrees of negative camber.
I have only a handful of runs in car so far on oem pirellis. I am starting with zero toe in...
They also have a 265 45 18 that is just about the same height as the oem's at 27.7 inches tall. These will be my plan B if the shorter tires don't work out.

I believe the difference will be between 3 and 4mph in 2nd gear. At the lot I run the most, Packwood, I would say that 80% of the courses have one or two sections that require 60 plus mph. On short 19's, this requires a shift or an extended period on the limiter at least. I figure that I...
According to my calcs, my gtpp on 275 35 18's will top out at 54.5 in 2nd and 78 in 3rd. These speeds are only about 1 mile an hour faster than a gen6 SS Camaro in 1st and 2nd. The Camaro makes more torque though.
I waffled on this decision a bunch. The people I trust the most said if it...
Yes, what Dennis said. Bonus is saving 12lbs per front tire/wheel and 15lbs per rear. Took about 10 weeks to get. I ordered through Howey Industries. Tires are a full 2 inches shorter. Doesn't look quite as silly as I thought it would.
There are a lot of us with an eye towards STP. I think the perceived rules instability (wheel widths for example) have some waiting for things to shake out a bit.
