This is RBS550`s dad posting for him he is working 7 days 12 to 13hrs at nuke plant and no computer time. He was running very late and forgot his GoPro so he used his phone with FB. Long vid but after the pass at about 3.40is where he got his time slip and a little excited:thumbsup:Lost some...
Had a great night at PBIR. Wasn't my best, but considering the 1,100' DA and launching at 1,600+ rpms, it was great.
And seeing old friends again.
BTW I'm in the right lane.

Sorry I’ve been too busy to update.
Meet the RBS550 Pinion Support…..so I’ve been afraid to try my transbrake after seeing what happened to BMR Kelly in Bowling Green. Now I don’t have anywhere near the power of Kelly, but transbrakes are very hard on everything, in this case the front ears on...
I've made a lot of changes, with VERY MINIMAL testing, but that's how it works in the Great White North.
Making many final adjustments and double checking a lot of stuff. The 1,200+ mile trip will be the true test.
Hope to see many friends and M6G members in Bradenton!
I will only get to...
I am very pleased with my Whipple Flare Device. Now I'm only using it to correct gear/tire ratio in the BCM (Body Control Module) but this is very important info when getting an automatic to shift when you want it to.
It was very simple and quick to correct. In the pics you will see I went from...
Thank you KOHR MOTORSPORTS, getting 3.31s wasn't as easy as I thought, but Dean at KOHR took care of me.
Now those of you that are counting. that's right this will be my 3rd gear change. I'm going to a 28" tall DR, so I really need this to keep close to where I am numerically with the 3.15s. I...
Okay I know this is long, but there’s a lot of info, multiple components & companies. I will break it up into sections. This was all done by myself with hand tools on the ground (no lift).
1. Stock K-member removal, as you can see in the pics I used a 4x4 & ratchet straps around the headers and...
Okay so we've all seen the Damper upgrade before, but this so easy that it should not be put off. Now what you will see that is different is the way I installed it. I'm Old School and I do not like using a bolt for the install, a bolt is being twisted against your crank threads, a stud is put in...
I get asked and hear questions about pad height. Okay so I'm not giving much info as far as words, but I think this pic showing Low, Medium and High Pad height, a section view laying over top of each other will really help self explain. As you can see the pad height gets larger to clear larger...
This post is more to give a fellow forum member an idea of what is involved in getting 15" wheels on an S550. Keep in mind this was a first try and I'm going to a 1" wider rim, with 1" more BS in the near future(15x9.33x6.5BS), this is a total of 2" inward movement from the pics shown below, I...
Here's a few videos and pics;
1st one you can see I pushed a little before the launch, little stuff like that kills you from getting your magic number. You can also see how I barely inch forward to stage as shallow as possible.
2nd one shows how relatively easy I take off, if I had slicks...

First off I have to THANK AEROSPACE COMPONENTS for an INCREDIBLE piece of art rear brake kit. And finally being able to run 15" wheels!!!! And save 36 lbs.!!!! Just with the rear brakes, not counting the wheels!
Okay there's a lot to cover here.
1. These are Drag Racing brakes. AEROSPACE...
