  1. GT350 Gauge swap into 18 GT

Yeah the tank option if weird?! On the first new 0 miles cluster I gave it several thousand miles but it would never do DTE correctly thank fully my used one is fine but not sure maybe they have a procedure or learning process at the factory? Specific amount of fuel in the tank to calibrate on...
  2. GT350 Gauge swap into 18 GT

Was your cluster brand new or used? My first try in this post it was a new 0 miles cluster I gave up but I have since tried with a used one and it seems to be proper
  3. GT350 Gauge Cluster Thread

I never did, ended up selling the cluster sadly. However I believe the problem may have been that it was a zero mile cluster so it was never configured as it would have been on a vehicle for first assembly. Maybe they have a certain amount of gas in the cars for the sending unit to “calibrate”...
  4. Holley Hi-Ram install/ thoughts

I honestly haven’t had any problems with mine leaking, I just used the rubber line and made sure it was pressed in place and it’s been fine. If your worried about it then yeah rtv or gasket maker would not be a bad idea
  5. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

I went with the mcloed rxt rated for 1000 and it’s been great (my car now makes around 1000 to the wheel) and the lightweight flywheel included is great. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RUGHT CLUTCH FOR YOUR 3160! Gt350 vs Mach1 have different input shaft spline counts! Only problem I’ve had so far with...
  6. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

Good luck! A flush is a good place to start
  7. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

You could see if your clutch fluid is low or severearly discolered and try a flush with new fluid never know. You other hydraulic peice is in your pedal assembly under the dash could check for leaks under there aswell as the line and plastic elbow that connects the line into the trans. As far...
  8. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

I didn’t use a stock clutch, still run the McLeod rxt1200 kit for the gt350, and the oem gt350 slave cylinder and I might as it’s been 35k miles now with about 10k of them being 8-1000ish whp
  9. Differential Flanges - Any Experts?

This is all very interesting I am in here trying to learn what I need to put a 3.15 dif in my 18gt cause I’m at 800whp and I have a 3160 swap out of a gt350 and I want more spread and the Ability to hit 200 in 5th so no overdrive. What I find interesting is I have my stock 3.55 manual dif and...
  10. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

I do not have adaptive cruise but I did not loose cruise control after my tuner changed the parameters in HP tuners. I can find photos of these changes you can do them yourself with HP
  11. Holley Hi-Ram install/ thoughts

Yeah I honestly couldn’t say if it picked up more than 10 but it did pick probably a car in a roll race. I mainly did it cause my plastic manifolds IMRC runner melted and fell into my intake Port on cyclinder 7. I just wanted a cast or sheet metal intake that didn’t brake the bank compared to a...
  12. Holley Hi-Ram install/ thoughts

After having this on the car for a few months I thought I would post on the forums what all you need to know and buy To run the new Holleys. Made a YouTube video if your a visual learner- Parts- Holley $800 (there are several versions low and High) make sure you get the right one if your not...
  13. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

Definitely not, no this is an oem part and is probably less than or equivalent to a stage 1 mt82
  14. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

Yeah you’re not wrong, currently the last dyno I made 480hp and 470ib on a dyno jet in 80 degree weather I just have long tubes e85 and a cold air but I’m working in putting together the new Holley hi ram and showing what is involved and what it makes.
  15. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

Yeah I’m hoping so only had it together for 1k miles so far and yeah it’s a 26 however it is a larger diameter than the input shaft for a mt82
  16. Tremec 3160 swap in a 18 GT base

Yeah for now this car is my daily but I do go out and roll race pretty often, and take it down the strip/ and an actual track but maybe once to twice a year. I don’t think the 3160 can handle much more power but I have seen Zander13 in his Mach 1 Make 700-800 to the tire with stock clutch. My...
  17. Tremec 3160 swap?

I have done that had a car I was always door to door with but in the D4 when I’d hit 4th would drop back but not anymore I keep pulling about a car and a half, since In the 3160 5th is 1to1 4th is now essentially a gear in between 3rd and 4th in the d4
  18. Tremec 3160 swap?

I just posted a full thread with everything I needed and the cost. So far I love it and would do it again it feels amazing in shift feel and more like an early mt82 with 3.73 with closer gear ratios and when you hit the 3-4 shift you don't drop back you only drop around 1500 rpm from 2-5 gears...

  20. Tremec 3160 swap?

I just completed this swap with a track pack 3160 with the trans cooler and it was really straightforward, you don't get rev-matching unless your car has the plug for it though 19+ I needed a gt350 drive shaft, MMR trans cooler adapters to AN fitting (only if you get one with a cooler/pump)...
