Sorry, night I was supposed to go to the track we had spotted thunderstorms and 30+ mph winds. In the desert that means sand on the track. Next test and tune is the 8th. But after driving on them for a couple weeks they just feel stock and how the car should have come out of the factory. I am...
Installed the fixed shocks today with the stock base GT springs. Reduced squat and nose dive significantly. If there was a corner in my city I would tell you how it handled but I can't. Ride is definitely firmer but not to harsh. Going to the drag strip tomorrow too see how they work with the...
for the rears does the spacer go above or below the upper shock mount... installing tomorrow, and didn't get any directions and can't find any on the steeda website. Thanks boys!
The F150 trans overheats pretty dam quick going WOT for any extended period of time. Even when it gets red hot it still keeps on trucking along though. You will be fine doing a track day, just keep an eye on it.
I know you don't have E85 over there, but Lunds "race" tune adds more timing down low and really helped perk up the lower rpm power band. Did you have any issues with the gt350 snorkel fitting the stock GT grill inlet.
]I have a gt350 manifold with out headers, still running stock intake. It runs great... That being said you won't notice anything below 6k, but you will love the extra 1k in powerband you gain with your 3.73s. My bud has the Gt350 manifold, t/b and headers he is trapping .5mph faster then me...
I had the Injen... Lost power only thing I can attribute it too is turbulence. Car surged like crazy too. I tested the air raid tube (which I own) too the stock tube. Per MAF data the stock tube flowed more... Helmholtz resonators those nasty ugly things that are hanging off the tube silence...
Pretty sure Lund has the stock tb tuned at WOT at around 83% open. Bigger TB won't do much of anything. Guy above me said it perfectly. Save your money for headers or a gt350 manifold.
With a filter or no filter it wouldn't matter IATs would be the same, but it was intact anyways. Open intake with no snorkel. Just strait hot heatsoak staging lane air. From everything I have seen at the track headers are a better investment. Stock intake works well.
Or it's the 160 degree underhood temps in staging, just saying instead of using a snorkel they ran around and said it was a restriction... Which it isn't. When they tested the stock box on a flow bench they said the rubber seal collapsed limiting HP to around 380hp, I am sure it collapsed but in...
Not the tune... I forgot what was falling apart but I remember he was bitchin about it saying it was crap and he had to glue some stuff back together. There are 4 n/a S550 guys at the track I go to including myself (stock intake tube), we all run different intakes and the PMAS is the slowest...
Guy at the local track has a PMAS and it is falling apart, he has headers and I am trapping faster with a better time with the stock intake and no headers.
Lund FF. More is to be gained with shocks and springs then with an intake. Will do headers before a "cai". Better driving or better air would have put me sub 12s, but no excuses.
Yup E85, density altitude was over 2000ft, 12psi Hoosiers. The 12.03 is me btw, car needs shocks and springs ... The base GT suspension can't handle the launch. Finishing the 1/4 mile in 3rd gear lol
Stock intake, hpipe, 3.31 car, stock TB, GT-350 manifold. Car runs strong. My bud has a PP car, JLT intake, headers, no cats and the gt350 manifold GT-350 t.b. He trapped .5mph faster same night.
