I have a full bolt on 2015 ecoboost. On Saturday it caught on fire while driving down the freeway. I have comprehensive insurance but not including the upgrades. I just completed a recorded statement with my adjuster. She specifically asked about mods. I kept it general but was honest. What are...
I'm installing a meth kit and need to determine the best source to tap for my boost sensor. Since my setup has a hose barb, I'm not looking to drill into a pipe.
I just replaced my stock turbo with another stock turbo. And if you read my other thread, yes, I did my DP connected. I got all the oil lines hooked back up and the CAI , but when I started it, it started to smoke a little right above where the top left bolt connects the turbo to the engine. I...
Will this work in a mustang ecoboost? It looks like it is used in F150s but seems like it should work in any ecoboost engine.

If I buy a compressor wheel designed for a gt2259 turbo, do I need to worry about further specs--like do they vary among the other car that uses this turbo model?
I jacked up my compressor wheel with a nut hitting it while running. No metal got through and the turbo has been running fine except it puts out only 7 psi instead of my tuned 23+ psi. My question: if I replace this part with another from a Gt2259, do I need to sweat the specs or are they...
I had a small piece of metal go into my turbo inlet and damaged the compressor wheel. Where to I order parts? Is it a hard self-fix? How much will the part cost?
Thanks.
A bolt from my intake got sucked into my turbo and I think jacked up the blades pretty bad. It is putting out 9 psi vs 23 (Cobb tune). Before I take it to the dealer I'd like to assess the damage myself so I can have a believable explanation.
How hard is it to remove the turbo?
Coming home, I do a decent pull, revving to about 6K between gears. Then my engine starts sputtering and wont accelerate. I coast into a parking lot. Restart my car. Now it runs fine except it makes a strange whirring sound that is synched with the engine rpms.
I was slipping and sliding during a downpour two weeks ago. I checked my back tires and they were completely bald. Even worn on both. Front tires were fine. I went to a tire shop and found out threads were coming out and they would have completely blown in another 100 or so miles.
I told the...
I was fish tailing on a very wet freeway this morning--and not on purpose. Pulled over and noticed both my rear tires were completely bald. They looked like racing slicks.
How is this possible with only 4K miles: I never smoke my tires but get squirrelly sometimes in wet parking lots...
