You (and the others) getting the early cars are really testing the car for Ford under real Australian conditions, so my hats off for that. Will be interesting to see what happens if there are overheating issues. Hopefully by the time I get my GT (November 2016) any issues are sorted out.
I saw this review a few days ago and was expecting more from it. I would call the review 'average', but the video and the different shots they used as great.
He doesn't like how Ford have allowed the heritage of the Mustang to influence the current design and on this point only I think he has...
My guess is it's this pre-production test car http://europe.autonews.com/article/20140818/COPY/308189907/ford-begins-testing-first-right-hand-drive-mustang
Being tested under Australian conditions.
Received an email from the lease company today advising a delivery date of 30 November 2016. The did indicate that a Ford AUS are working with Ford USA to secure earlier delivery slots.
Removed for pedestrian safety (EU requirement) and unfortunately Australia's GT's also have them removed.
Congrats on the car it looks great, same colour I've ordered.
The only Mustangs being built (USA and the rest of the world) are 2016 models as they shutdown 2015 production about a month ago. So the cars coming to Australia this year and up to mid next year will be 2016 models. Depending on delivery dates for cars late next year, it's very likely they will...
Lease approved on 30 August and lease company placed the order on the morning of 1 September. The dealer called me on the afternoon of 1 September advising the order had been placed and at this stage expected delivery is November 2016. He did say they are working with Ford (USA) to try and open...
Currently 3200 orders have been made in Australia and the first car is not due in the country until around November.
If you order one today in Australia you won't get it until 2017!
Sure I'd like to have the car sooner, but in my case my current lease doesn't expire until December 2016 so the timing works for me, hence I delayed placing my order. There is a chance the date may come forward by a few months as apprantentlty Ford Australia have asked for more slots due to the...
And I think that's why the dealer things the features will be based on the current US MY2016 as we (Australia) are about 12 months behind the US specs/features. So there is a chance it could have SYNC 3.
Matches what I was told today. My order was placed yesterday (1 September) and dealer advised that currently I will get the car in November 2016.
Given the delivery date, the dealer said there is a chance these cars may have more/different features based on the US 2016 model.

They are all photoshopped photos plus the brochure still contains errors. ie on one page it states the illuminated door scuff plates are an optional extra yet on another page it states they are standard (yes they are standard).
The majority of the RHD cars they showed are Ecoboosts (you can tell by the grill) and are for the UK market, including the car he says is one of the first for Australia, as it (and majority of the rest) have the Chrome trim around the windows (protective blue tape on them).
For those wanting to view the yellow GT at Metro Ford tonight, you need to call them (before 5pm) so they can put your name on the list. If you are not on the list, they are saying you will not be allowed in.
BTW like most of the sales people, they have no idea about the features that we...
Go to the Ford Australia website and you can build your car and it will give you a price. The auto comes standard with paddle shift, so don't let the dealer try and charge you more fur them.
