Hi all about to plonk down a deposit on a GT and I and going back and forwards between deciding to go Manual or auto. My dealer is quoting me 2.5k for the auto paddle shift option. Is this an indicative pricing Australia wide. The reason I say this is they wanted 3k for dealer delivery which I have been able to shake down to 2k given other dealers in Adelaide are doing this price.

Im coming form a sports car background where I have owned mostly manuals including my current 370Z but Im in my mid 40s and slightly attracted to the practicalities of the auto and the fact it has paddle shifters so I can play when I want to with the trans.

Peoples thoughts and any information of pricing appreciated.

PS looking at Ingot Silver with black wheels......

Go to the Ford Australia website and you can build your car and it will give you a price. The auto comes standard with paddle shift, so don't let the dealer try and charge you more fur them.

The below quote is really, really good advice.

Go to the Ford Australia website and you can build your car and it will give you a price.
Print out the quote you have just made.
Take it to a dealer and ask them for a quote on the day....when their quote comes in, which I guarantee will be more.........."show 'em the paper"

Dealer delivery.....one of the all time greatest rorts..... see if you can haggle:paddle:

South of Sydney, autos are quoted as $2265 dearer than the manual, I believe that this is about average.
This will be where you are being quoted, as the auto is an option.

hi ozracer. in new zealand the price is the same for a manual or an automatic so its just a matter of preferance, abilities and convenience as usual. tom

Take this as a guide.
Manual $60500
Auto $63000
Anything you can get off those two prices means you done pretty good. Dont expect much though
