I'm not a gadget guy at all and have no desire or need for an i-Phone. The only Apple product I own is an older gen Nano for music. I use a new but old-school flip phone for emergencies. Both work just fine in my 2014 GT Premium which does not have a tech package.
I plan on getting a 2018...
There doesn't seem to be a fundamental difference between his actions and the actions of the three Americans on the train in France who subdued a knife wielding terrorist last year.
Is there a mechanical/technical reason why Magneride couldn't be a stand-alone option and not coupled with the PP? Is this just another way to suck $4K out of my wallet?
My black S197 isn't a DD and I don't intentionally drive it in the rain, although I've been caught by surprise a few times.
The key is keeping the car as spotless as possible at all times. Regular maintenance makes even a major detailing so much easier.
To be fair, I'm retired and have...
This is key when using a rinseless system. If you still want to use the conventional method, washing and drying a section at a time can help control spotting but it's frustrating and very time consuming with all the water overspray. It's akin to herding cats.
Another trick is to not spray...
That's encouraging Mike. Yesterday I saw a Lincoln MKZ in Burgundy Velvet...gorgeous color, and I'm wondering if that's what Lincoln calls Royal Crimson.
From the photos I've seen of the Mustang 'vert in RC, I'm not crazy about the tan interior. It looks too distracting with the black seat...
Why would you detail before washing?
The Croftgate Wash & Wax product is what you clean the car as I described in my post. The product has a property that suspends the dust and pollen so that you're not dragging it back on to the clear coat. In fact I just did my Mustang earlier today with...
Switch to a rinseless system. There are several brands out there...I prefer Croftgate products. I haven't used a hose on my black GT in 3 years. It takes me 25 minutes complete with a coffee and smoke break.
I use their Wash & Wax. I've seen demos of this stuff used outdoors on a black car...
Thanks. Hopefully I'll get to see Royal Crimson and Kona Blue on convertibles before I order...those are the two colors on my radar. I'd like to sample the active exhaust as well. I've never ordered a new car in the past. They always came out of inventory, so I want to be damn sure I get...
I'm confused. I thought I had read that the dealer banks are opening in July, but that individual customers can't special order one until the fall.
Am I misinformed?
I agree....happens here on the left side of the pond too. But that concept doesn't override common sense road and driving safety rules regardless of continent.
The only thing that one should assume when driving is that someone else is going to do something really stupid. Many accidents for...
I hope some of you guys are joking about the biker. He plays absolutely no part in this equation. The driver of a turning car is not absolved one iota even if someone waves him on. He still has the greater duty to proceed only when traffic is clear.
Sorry...most of the liability (greater...
I'm a retired claims adjuster from NJ, so I can offer an opinion based on claim settlement here. It varies a bit state to state and in other countries but the basic principles are the same.
What comes into play here is 'proximate cause'...i.e who did the most wrong and who had the greater...
Mine is also black and I'm a rinseless wash convert as well. The only time it sees a hose is once a year after I clay it, and that's followed by a polishing and wax with a buffer which efficiently removes spots. Despite my small garage, I can do all my detailing in shade.
I used straight vinegar to remove hard water spots when I first got my car in 2014.. My GT is black so it is particularly noticeable. Of course that had to be followed up with a polish/wax.
I've since been using a rinseless wash system so my car never sees a hose now. But I'm fortunate to...
