First thing I would have checked are the CV joints. My Audi S4 started that and had same noise. Tech replaced one half shaft and noise was gone. Easy to ascertain, put it up and slowly turn the wheel. Any noise is from binding in the joint.
I replaced my P zeroes with Michelin Cup 2 tires. Full tilt traction in rain or dry. 1.28 g turns on the track. Highly recommend this tire and has great wear characteristics.
Retired construction inspector. I am a Senior Instructor for PCA NA and BMW for high speed driving students. 71 years young. 45 years on track experience. Coowner of OG Racing back in the day. Fast sports cars. Purchased our 2015 GT Premium PP 6 SPD after seeing the car at the 2014 auto...
My 2015 GT PP with Airaid and tune, shod with Michelin Cup 2 tires usually gets 25 to 26 cruising to the track and back. 90 miles each way, 6th gear. Tires make all the difference. If I have slicks on I get 27.5 same drive. Bothell, Was. To Shelton WA. Performance level about equal to the...
What kind of bank are you dealing with? BS from them, they should be on you side. See a branch manager and go higher. A lawyer will help get them understanding along with the dealership. The bank should accept an equal title value in any event. Good luck.
You guys are funny. Who buys a sporty car to compare milage. Mine at the track will run 47 minutes until needing fuel. Highway cruise 27.3 mpg. I get there fill up and drive several sessions and smile.n who cares. Lol
I'm wondering why you installed covers over the engine components when heat is a killer for endurance? I do 40 minutes with my GT, no covers and no problems. Just wondering.
Anytime I can run with my buddies GT350's for a lot less money invested I'm really a happy retired guy. We play with the Porsche GT4 and M4 BMWs for entertainment and know how to wheel by them in a turn. That is where time is made up on the track. Similar straight line speeds.
My track prepared GT PP, Eibach suspension, M Pilot Sport Cup 2's regularly perform at 1.28 g at Pacific Raceway and The Ridge, both with excellent asphalt surface. That makes a difference, the surface structure.
It depends on the manufacturers filler piece as part of the tread design, contact patch and tread compound. Sticky tires tread wear of 120 or less will have a square shoulder versus say a 300 tread wear. Performance as opposed to cruiser.
I run the Pilot Sport Cup 2 on the track and consistently record 1.28 to 1.3 g turns. 275/295 19's. Satisfied with those numbers for street tires and 8 track days wear 1/2 tread depth.
My GT PP, Premium now has Eibach suspension with Cup 2 tires. No floating on the track. Registers 1.28 g turns easy enough. Big fat wide tires. YeeHaa.
I'm from the1944 generation and have had a AC Cobra 427 side oiler, 2 different 69 Roadrunner's, 12 Corvettes a 69 Mustang black/black 390 ( wish I still had that one) and some other things that were fast. I love my stock bodied 2015 GT PP. Rips the track up with my buddies GT350's. Would not...
At the track
Those that went, I hope you all had fun. I was so busy with students and driving I didn't get to go looking for anybody. Fast cars and some great driving.:clap2:
