You might as well have the pistol in the trunk as in the glove compartment/console is my opinion. In Washington, when you are out of the car, other occupants are responsible for your weapon. If it is holstered on the dash then you just place it in your hip holster under a shirt or jacket...
I purchased my 15 GT PP in Nov. 2014 when they came out. 6 SPD, loaded. Faster around Pacific Raceway on the Pirellies than my 2011 GT 500 on slicks. Several mods later, cold air and program, Eibach suspension and Michelin Cup 2' s and the car comes alive. Love beating up on my foreign car...
I installed a spare holster with "plastic" IWB bolted to the lower left side of the dash. Not visable but very easy to access. Was stopped by an officer regarding license plate (Washington Required) and first thing I said with hands visable, "Officer I have a 45 automatic in a holster by my...
I have an early build,10/14 GTPP. 15 track days so far. Eibach suspension with 295 Michelin Cup 2's. Competive with Porsche Caymen S and older 911 GT3 cars. And I put the grandkids in the back when I get a chance. Love the car.
I use the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's on 19" wheels. 275/295 stagger but my car is for HPDE track days. Stick like glue, 1.3g turns. 145 mph on front straight Pacific Raceway, mmmmmm
Reviewing your film and comments is entertaining. Toe out causes the rear tire to pull the car around, yes, but at speed it rotates the inertia to much. Coupled with the down shift, loading the front tires exacerbated the rotation of the car. Revise the setting for toe out in the front...
I have used it in the past in our race cars, works wonders. I track my 15 regularly and down below a quarter tank no problem. Pulling 1.28g on 295 Michelin Cup2's. Eibach suspension. Wonderful Porsche/BMW killer.
1St hpde day with my GT PP 6sod. 1.18 g turn to the right, 1.13 to the left and 1.08 braking. 143Mph top speed at Pacific Races at near seattle. Way fun. Not as fast as our 2011 GT500 but better lap times on street tires. FYI senior instructor Porsche and BMW national.
Go to a parts store and buy a pickle fork tool made to go between the two components, you drive it in and separates the objects. These have been around for decades.
I have used them in the past on several vehicles, including cars I road raced, and they worked fine. Pull out and fold up and you are good to go. Even had a state patrol stop me & I told him I thought it was up but the kids must have put it down. He gave me a warning. Hate front plates...
Go to the NASA ( cars no space shuttle ) web site and they can give you the active tracks and dates available. Or check with the Sothern California BMW web site for track days and driver training dates they have. Good group to learn from. Motorsport.reg has the information also. This is our...
