Awww! I'm sure your ride isn't anything to "brag about" sorry I have the money to do it plus more 😘
I see you are in Winder, GA. Jon Kaase Racing is a place I'd like to shop in. Ever have an opportunity to check it out?

Honestly, it's not even about the money, I wanted it and I bought it. I'm 44 yrs old, I have plenty of life to live, my kids are grown....why not spend the money. It definitely turns heads.
It's more like you overpaid, by a good bit probably.

15k on top of the GT premium would have got you about where you are at with this 90k car. GT premium around 50k, you coulda had this level of performance for up to 20k cheaper.

You didn't even get a GT premium performance pack for that price, that's the rub I have with your deal. They made a lot of straight cash off you with this deal. By my math you paid almost double what a supercharger usually goes for installed.

Bragging about only having to finance 20k on a 90k purchase is certainly a weird flex.

Does it put a smile on your face when you look at it or drive it? I know mine does and I'm not even done modifying it. Your money your choice. Did you overspend? Who cares. Did you get what you've always wanted? Sure did. Enjoy it, drive the shit out of it, be happy and just ignore people giving you shit.

This is the Internet. Everyone has an opinion, positive or negative. What do you people expect? Not everything is rainbows and daisies.

That's a sweet ride for sure. 90k though? You definitely got your head slapped by the dealer. I'm sure you will enjoy it though, it will be a lot of fun. Good color too.

Do you have any plans for the car as far as drag racing/road racing/autocross or road trips etc…

I like the color. Whole car doesn't look bad at all, the lowering springs give it better proportions. FML though that's a lot. Also, on the warranty, it's not required that Ford install it. Just make sure whoever did install it gave you all their documentation of being an asce shop or whatever qualification is required to get the warranty.

ā€œIs it worth it?ā€

Seems you answered your question before you asked it since you already own it, no?

Monetarily, if/when you go to sell/trade it, no, probably not. $90K for a Whipple GT with extras is roughly $20-25K high.

For frame of reference, I was recently shopping for GT350s and came across a brand new ā€˜25 Dark Horse w/Tremec/Recaros/Tech and no handling pack at a Dallas area dealer for $69K -$3.5K Ford incentives and $5K dealer discount. That’s $60,500. I could have had the FRP Whipple added in for about $13,500 installed. So, let’s just say $75K. Dark Horse, 3.0 Whipple, Tremec.

That said, these decisions aren’t about what’s monetarily best, obviously. So, if you’re happy and you enjoy the whine every time you dip into the throttle, then sure, it is worth it. Enjoy it.

I'm glad you like the car, but you definitely overpayed by like 20%. I've seen new supercharged Dark Horses for sale for around that price, and they come with a superior transmission, upgraded suspension, better wheels/tires, and probably MagneRide. Many of the upgrades the dealer installed are things many people specifically don't want, like 20" wheels.

It's a nice car either way, but it's just not good value compared to a DH plus dealer-installed FP Whipple for about the same price.

Oh, and if you're not into manuals (couldn't tell what your car is) the DH SC is arriving soon- the replacement to the GT500 with the next gen supercharged 5.2L Predator and superior automatic. IIRC it starts about $110k, but who knows where street prices will fall.

It’s your money buy what makes YOU happy ! My wife passed 2 years ago and it’s amazing how your thoughts change after something like that happens. I’m certain nobody is taking anything with them so enjoy each day as it’s a blessing .
