That shit is getting crazy here in NJ too - not with Mustangs but with the Euro/Asia vehicle types….

IMO, it is out of hand and whether anyone here laughs at this next comment or not, I don’t give a damn.

- That noise and sudden onset of it could seriously harm someone who has existing health conditions such as a poor heart…. I’m not even joking with that thought or statement, people who have bad hearts could literally go into cardiac arrest by that type of unsuspecting loud cracking/popping.

I am hoping legislature gets passed on it to outlaw it - because it’s an annoyance, it’s a problem., many people do associate it with gun shots and it is not amusing at all or “cool” when the backfiring is actually louder than gun shots…

If rolling coal is illegal than the crackle/burble BS should be also. They are also the type of people who RUIN the automotive hobby for others because of the ridiculousness of the alarming noise.

Completely agree. It scares the crap out of people and some are so bad, you can hear them a block away and it truly sounds like gunshots.

Absolutely ridiculous and how anyone thinks that they are "cool" with that are kidding themselves. Everyone is pointing and laughing.

I just watched a youtube car review of a 26 lexus is350. The car was making fart noises when you let off the gas. The noise was coming from the car speakers. At least you could turn it off.
