I fitted a SmartTop convertible top controller. Man, this thing makes the top function how it should have been from the factory.
Unlatch the handle and the top drops on its own now. One touch to close and can operate the top at up to 20mph rather than the 2mph of the factory programming.
Love it.

How difficult was the installation? Any headaches to be aware of? Planning this addition myself... thanks!

I just wish it put the windowsback up. Not possible because of the manual latch but still way better than factory. And don't forget that it will automatically go to the last drive mode too.

Look up the instructions online. They're pretty good. But basically you remove the rear seat base, unplug a connector behind the drivers side trim panel and plug the module in. Then it's just programming it like you want which can be done with a laptop or with, I think, the top up/down button.

Yup. The provided instructions are comprehensive. Pop up seat base, pull off plastic trim behind passenger (driver in US) seat, unplug connector, plug in to module.
I programmed it with my laptop and the included USB lead before I fitted it. It was super easy.
If you can change a bulb, you can fit this. I don't know what more to say about it than that.

How does it drive/handle and what’s the Powertrain in those?
I haven't gotten it anywhere near the limit, but it's a double wishbone front, multi-link rear, and 50/50 balance. It's roughly the same weight as the Mustang , but feels about 1000lbs lighter. The steering is telepathic.

Motor is ...well ...fine. Mine is the 280hp 4. With me driving, it's barely less than a second slower to 60 compared to the Mustang. Its fine, but there's no drama and not very exiting. The ZF trans is slick though.

I like the brakes on my Mustang much better and they were just regular GT brakes. The Alfa is brake-by-wire. It modulates fine, but the feel is weird.

Dropped mine of at Revolution Automotive in Rosedale, Md. a couple of days ago. They do a bunch of big money builds there including Vaughn Gittin's stuff. Hopefully Adam and his team can get this pig sorted out, finally. 🤞

l now have the new Calimer transmission installed but had to stop so I could get my domestic chores done, laundry, grocery shopping, banking. Friday morning, I have my annual VA appointment (physical). After that I can get back to all the other elec. hyd. line, drive shaft, exhaust, shifter, and bleeding. Thankful for my two-post lift and transmission jack and cherry picker. I work alone and at age 74 I work smarter not harder.

I changed out my grills from my California Special
Never like the grill that doesn’t match the ‘Hexagon’ design on the qtr scoops and lower fake air scoops
I also added qtr window scoops with the hexagon design

I got it the dirtiest it’s been since I owned it. I had to drive down a freshly graded dirt road. Power sprayer then hand wash later today.

If you have a foam cannon, hit it with that first (don’t even pre-rinse) and let the foam pull a fair amount of that dirt off the car. After a couple minutes of letting the foam work, rinse and then you can do your hand wash. Will minimize potential for scratches/swirls

I just took it to a touchless robotic spray wash in town that essentially does what you recommend. Circles the car twice with presoak foam, then circles the car twice with a rinse. It's clean enough to safely wash now.

Took it to a local Ford Service Shop for a transmission fluid and filter replacement. The owner always take his time to go over the details of the job/parts. Really cool guy. His current project is a yellow Camaro that he bought with a procharger and replaced it with the Magnuson after building the engine.

I ordered the parts from Benny @LevittownFordParts with always the best price and fast shipping.
