I recently replaced the OEM clutch in my 2015 GT with a RAM clutch and flywheel. Much stiffer feel and better bite then the OEM one. This was at 80,000 mi, when I bought it at 30,000 mi it was already on it's 2nd OEM clutch. The friction material on the one I removed was fine, a damper spring in the disc had broken and got caught between the disc & flywheel.

I just ordered my Calimer stage 2 transmission and I will be putting in a Mcleod RXT twin disc ceramic clutch with the aluminum flywheel that I already have and a Mcleod hyd line and a TOB, OEM piolet bearing and new flywheel bolts. The wait time for the transmission is two weeks. This is all going in my GT 2015 premium pp mustang. I have catted LTH, MBRP cat back exhaust, 2018 intake manifold, CAI, one piece aluminum DDS drive shaft, and an Auto Mafia performance tune. The old clutch is fine, but the transmission pops out of second gear, so as long as I am in there it will get a new clutch. The car only has 35 K miles on it.

I chose this clutch because of the amount of power that I added to the car and if I decide to add more power to the car my clutch will handle it. This clutch will have the same feel as the stock clutch.

The RXT is a harsh clutch known to cause excessive shock loads and damage transmissions. You may want to look at something more mild. There are other options that can hold plenty of horsepower. The RST is probably a better choice for a car that is street driven.

I have done the research on this clutch, and it is not much different than the stock clutch as far as feel for the driver. Yes, it has good clamping power and if I were a new driver I would agree with you. Been driving a stick for years. Any way I have the clutch already. I am paring it with a new Calimer stage 2 transmission. I will be taking the proper break in steps to insure of a solid set up.

I went with the RST since I will not be super charging and I daily drive.

The RXT was what the tuner shop said they have a lot of success with, but they mostly do much higher HP cars than near stock GTs like mine. The RXT is made for higher HP.

So I trusted that the McLeod brand was the one to buy, and the RST looked best for a daily driver but you want some more performance out of it.

No regrets, I love the RST. It has some drawbacks over the stock clutch in every day life but in terms of going fast it feels so much better than stock, the mush is gone and it just hooks up and goes. I love it.
