Who Names Their Cars and What Is It?

We used to call my dad's big silver Oldsmobile Delta 88 "the shark" but I don't give male or female names to my cars. It's just hard for me to think of them that way.

My dad had a white Oldsmobile Delta 88 my brothers called "white lightning". I learned how to drive in that boat

After a week of ownership my wife asked me what "her" name was. I came up with Jessica from Trueblood because super sexy redhead that is likely a lot of trouble. It didn't stick. Over the last 2 years I've called it "babygirl" a few times but 99% of the time it's just "the car". So I guess no, don't really name my cars.
