Trying to pick a color for my new rims

Hey guys, I know color choice is very subjective, but I figured I would see what everyone's opinion is. I took weeks to choose a wheel, finally decided on Project 6GR 10 Ten wheels, 19x10/19x11 staggered.

My Mustang is a 2015 GT/PP and its Competition Orange. I am really tired of keeping gloss black wheels clean. I think they look great when everything is clean, but they are always dirty. The PP wheels are a nightmare to clean, which is part of why i want new rims. I think the 6GR wheels will be much easier to keep clean. So gloss black is out, my thinking is Satin Black will be easier... have those on our Jeep and it takes a lot less work. But I also LOVE Satin Graphite, I love the look and it should be even easier to keep clean. The problem is I have trouble finding good pictures of orange Mustangs with Graphite Wheels. Some of them look good, but some of them look kinda plain and stock-ish. On dark colored cars, or black cars, they look great, and I see most pictures of the graphite is on dark cars. The bright colored cars are usually black wheels. So maybe that is just what is going to look the best? I just can't decide!


So for the question: Satin Black, or Satin Graphite?

Agreed, it has been done to death, and not just on Mustangs but on everything. But I like black wheels, so not denying it looks good.

With a color as bright as orange, white, or some of the blue colors, black wheels just tend to disappear and look like voids. Those wheel arches weren’t supposed to be empty.

Are you ordering them in black or graphite, or are you having them Powder coated? Black/graphite have been done to death IMHO. How about A dark blue, or bright white with body colored stripe around the edge of the rim. Or if you go with Black, get the barrel powder coated body color.

I love black wheels on a car but they really do get lost. That's why I went with gloss gunmetal.

I love the idea of dark blue, but I think it might not work with orange, at least not for me. I knew when I picked that color that my choices for many other things would be limited. Sometimes I wish I had just gone with grey or white! But I do love the orange, it gets a lot of attention. I dont wan't it to be too blingy, I think orange barrels or stripes are just not my style.

Now the idea of white wheels is interesting! I have seen an orange GT350 with white stripes and I love that look. It of course had black wheels though. I have to think about the white wheel idea. It is not a standard color though, so going custom is going to add to the price quite a bit.

@sw686blue - thanks for the pic of your car, that is why I am stuck trying to decide. I like black wheels, but maybe they do get a little lost? I think the Forgestar gunmetal is lighter than the P6GR graphite. Does anyone have a pic of that color wheel on their car? I can only find studio pics or black ones.
