Hi all! Anyone have a quick tutorial on removing the Glove Box? I’m getting my interior wrapped in leather...and the auto upholstery firm I’m dealing with completed my center console and doors...but says he couldn’t get the glove box off! I imagine it can’t be that difficult!
Thanks

Thanks Vlad! That seems to loosen it...however, in order to get wrapped, I think it will need to come completely off. Haven’t picked up the car yet so maybe after loosening it’s too easy take off!

I don't know how to remove the glove box, but please post some quality pics when it's done.

Oh, you're right, I missed that. I had the impression he was removing it altogether, but now I see he's only lowering it.

After lowering it there appear to be two bolts in that video that look like they should do the trick.
Ok! I’ll take a look! I’m excited to see my car! I just hate that they didn’t let me know sooner that they couldn’t figure it out!

Figured it out! No need to unscrew the bolts! There are 2 metal hinges connecting the right and left side of the box. Put eyes on the hinges from the rear, use some needle nose pliers, and slide the left one to the right, and right one to the left. Comes right off!

Cheers! A few folks asked that I provide some pictures. The material is a leather/Alcantara. My first thought was full alcantara, but I wanted user friendly cleaning options. As far as the doors, used the same material as the center console. It’s probably difficult to see the difference between OEM, however in real life, huge difference...very satisfied. I’m not done. Ultimately, I’ll look to wrap most of the plastic interior parts. But now I’m focused on the dash trim, window switches, door pulls, etc. Waiting on a prototype for Black Carbon fiber, with a very slight red tint.

Looks good. Would you mind sharing pricing either here or through PM?
