Hey Earl, just wondering if my build date is 3/18, when should I see vin# sent to plant? Also when will I see a window sticker? Thanks again for all you do to keep us informed.
The window sticker doesn't show up until your VIN has been Sent to Plant for production. Your car will be sent to plant about 4 to 7 days before it's build day.

Snoopy I heard the plant only has glass for two more days of production since the supplier was hit by the tornado in Tennessee. Can you confirm?

I was wondering if COVID-19 causing disruptions in the supply chain might impact GT500 production but didn't even think about mother nature.

If you are "scheduled to day", then you should have had a VIN by now. In other words, you have to have a VIN to be scheduled.

The sticker shows up a week or two before build.
I do have a vin #2045. just wanted to know when I will see, your vin # sent to plant.

Sorry, I misunderstood. IIRC from previous vehicles, it was about a week or so. Earl has been watching this stuff closely so he would have a better idea of when you will see your sticker. I believe his timeframe is about right.

That's the first I have heard about a potential glass shortage. I sure hope that is not the case.

I just checked with a source, and yes, production is slowing down. He also referenced stampings

Well this is highly unfortunate for everyone involved. Seems like just when they get production ramped up, something slows it down again.

If production slows down then maybe ford will ship out the cars they have made and sitting and collecting dust. But I certainly hope production doesn't slow down and I certainly hope my car ships. Lol

This car isn’t worth the headache anymore. I’m about done with Ford. I’ve ordered three cars from them and all three orders have been a complete mess.
