I have a 18 A10 and a 19 Bullitt -The A10 is way faster and a lot more fun over all ..I have had 9 sec manual cars its not like i cant drive a manual but this Bullitt in an A10 would have been really great .
No doubt the A10 is faster, but for me the M6 is way more fun over all. I don't do 1/4 mile runs so the little bit you may get on a road course is not worth enough to trade for using 3 pedals I think it is just personal preference.

After owning an A10 in a 2018 F150, I purposely stayed away from it. Sold it in 10 months.
Also the fact that I've never owned an auto sports car.
The A10 in the F150's is the topic of a lot of complaints over at F150 Forum.

Good thing there's never been any concerns raised regarding the MT-82.

It’s geared and acts completely differently in the Mustang...

Glad you guys like it. Just doesn't do it for me. That's the beauty of choices.

Nothing wrong with your choice or ours but citing forum complaints will always bring plenty of negative comments in either or all camps. If we all paid attention to forum warriors none of us would be driving Mustangs myself included. The tick and rattle being good examples of that. Yeah my car exhibits some of both at times so what I say......

Had the Bullitt been available with the A10 there would be one in my garage right now. Unfortunately the dealer refused to throw in the cost of a knee replacement into the deal. :frown:

Thats the nice thing about cars. They can all be configured to ones liking. I tried both (at hurting my pocket) A10 and mt-82. One is faultier than the other but I like the faulty mt-82 because its fun to me.

You are correct that the traditional config for the Bullitt is a manual, however Ford is doing away with current traditions and starting new ones. Nothing really wrong with that. Also, there is no reason to accept them if you don't want to. If you don't want a Bullitt or Boss or Mach configured differently than they have been traditionally just don't buy them.
The whole point of having a 'tradition' is to respect where it came from. I'm not opposed to Ford creating new traditions, but they do need to stand on their own merit and not steal a piggy-back ride to success (what Ford hopes for, anyway) on the name-recognition value of existing traditions.

Video is not a good way to present information to me, either. I'd much rather read text at my own speed than listen to somebody rattle on at theirs. Might be because the last time I sat in a classroom was almost 50 years ago, but that is what it is.

I like the Bullitt a lot. I think it would be awesome to own one. DHG is one of the best Mustang colors. The only thing stopping me is the lack of road course cooling capability. Maybe a used one in a few years when I'm not throwing a warranty in the dumper. Been there, did that on my tech pack GT350 by spending a bunch of dough adding the coolers and losing warranty on a new car. Pretty frustrating.

I love manual transmissions and it's all I will buy in a sporty car, but I don't really see why the Bullitt couldn't have an auto.

And sorry to the OP, I don't like to watch random YouTube stuff, so I'm not going to click on that.

I'm with you on traditions but this one cost me what is probably my last chance to get a car i've always wanted. This is one tradition I would have preferred that they left in the past.

Well, if you REALLY want to get technical... a Bullitt was a 1968 Mustang - not a 2001, not a 2008 and not a 2019-20

And it didn’t have fuel injection, Recaros, SYNC 3, LED lighting, 6spd trans, all wheel disc brakes and certainly wasn’t a fuel injected “5.0”.

Actually, if you want to get super duper techincal, the 1968 Mustang was not a Bullitt. That was the name of the character who drove the 1968 Mustang. The first officially named Ford Motor Company Car with Bullitt was indeed the 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT, followed by the 2008/09 Mustang GT with the Bullitt package, followed by the 2019/20 Mustang Bullitt :)
