Easy enough to do, Tom BUT, it probably wouldn't last five minutes. :-)

Cars go to Penske after the mod shop. Cars are 100% complete prior to shipping to Penske.

Appreciate the attached information and trust your knowledge but certainly getting mixed messages from various other individuals from Ford regarding the timing of the OTT painted stripes and clear coat process.

If the 2 seat cars are 100% complete once they leave the Mod Shop the Penske Team will then have to remove and reinstall the GT4 CF track wing from these cars in order to hand prep and hand paint the OTT stripes and clear coat.

Not sure why the Mod Shop would install these cool CF GT4 track wings on our cars only to have them removed a short time later but obviously that is the process in place.

Once the Penske shop completes the painting and clear coat process can we assume that these CFTP vehicles are then returned to the FRAP for a final quality control check and arrangement for rail or OTR transportation?

They do go back to FRAP for shipping, but don't come in the door.

Love this thread. I have seen some members got the car cover in the mail, does that mean that your car has a VIN and in production? Or you get that cover because you ordered the car and the cover and they just drop ship it and the time of receiving it means nothing?

My dealership stated that in their experience, 99% of the time a car cover arrives the vehicle is produced and ready for shipment. In my case, the car still needs to visit Penske.

Max: As promised, here's your request. Unfortunately, I couldn't make her suit white without a LOT of effort since it's so close to the car color. But, I think the pale yellow looks alright.

Unfortunately, I don't have very many OW photos so this was the best I could come up with.
