If Dodge can do it why can’t Ford? And Ford is active all over Dodge on the road course,Rally, NASCAR, NHRA, Baja....etc
What a sad day if Ford with all its exposure to the performance racing world can’t match DODGE.
Just because they can doesn't mean they will. Ford has a 1000hp Gen 2 Ecoboost sitting in the shed that's been gathering dust for 3 years now. They can do a lot with it. But they didn't. Closest thing they did was use it as a framework for the Ford GT engine and the IMSA car.

Power isn't everything either. Witness GT350. That car deserves 600 horsepower NA. Doesn't have it but find a GT350 owner who would curse the car because of it.

Oh your opening a can of worms cause I had a used 17 GT350 coming from the Hellcat’s and did not like it too slow lol. And yeah I said it to sloooow. I would have kept her if she had the auto and 600 plus and I actually traded her back in for a 19 GT PP1 with Magna Ride.

LOL nope.
Agreed. I had the 350r on the track at a mclaren track day. Man are those things fast through the corners as well as on the exit. Couldn’t believe it. I’ve kept up with a number of cars but had a real tough time keeping pace.

Curious though what 700+ hp gives us. Could be a game changer.

The new Mclaren GT is a stunner in photos as well.

As I’ve stated in other threads, it’s going to be difficult for ford to get 800hp while also using the same blower, 12psi as the LT5. The reason is simply Chevy has a displacement advantage and a lower redline. This allowed them to completely pussyfoot the stock tune, great for them but in fords case they have to make up for it somehow. And unless they magically got way better flow out of these heads, 15mm cams and or higher compression than the trinity engine . It’s going to get very very very interesting here.

A couple of problems with your post:

1) Ford isn’t limited to 12 psi.

2) Fords overhead cam engines respond better to boost then chevys pushrod engines.

3) not sure your point about tunes is valid. It seem the Fords usually have higher “tune only” gains.

Let’s see where things go.

Im thinking the number is pretty healthy.
