Just my two cents, a few hints from someone, who raced the ring personally with motorbikes and a car and with 20years experience from trackdays and hobby-races on motorbikes.
* a lap on the ring is 20.8km (about 12.93mls) long. Even if you are an experienced track day driver or Racer, you need...
That's an outrage. I mean, that they don't fit my 2017 GT convertible.
In my opinion, there is no proper solution for a convertible that's as good as CB762 so I will not accept that limitation.
In such cases we just say:
"Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht"
(translated: What doesn't fit...
Thanks for your help !
But the Moog 512588 part = Ford FR3Z-1104-E is listed also for the normal GT 350. Without "R".
At Ford.com and at levittownfordparts.com.
I'll have it checked out, when parts have arrived.
I looked it up on the levittownfordparts site with selecting "GT350" and NOT "GT350R"
Also with "GT premium"
Both MY 2017
Rockauto lists the measuring details for the GT350/GT350R wheel bearings = MOOG 512588 but unfortunately they don't list the measuring details for the GT / GT Premium wheel...
Both 2017 MY:
GT 350: FR3Z-1104-E pricing about 455 US $ each
GT : FR3Z-1104-G pricing about 115 US $ each
just counter checked numbers and pricing at levittownfordparts.com
(however, the timken part HA590577 that comes from Ford as stock part is sold for under 39 US$ at some US Webshops)
And...
First problems started when my 17 GT convertible had 22.000km on it (~ 13,670mls)
It was a shocking encounter driving on the autobahn with about 155mph (speed limiter was active, then) when I noticed I needed two lanes to go straight, preventing my mustang from smashing into a parcel truck on...
Hi Dan@VelossaTech
This Morning your bigmouth snorkel arrived via England at my Office. Revision 2 in Deep purple. Guess what, today was a Short Business day. Just got back from the Garage and a First Autobahn Test Ride with my newly velossa tech equipped 2017 GT Convertible.
I have a feeling...
Thanks Dan @VelossaTech
email sent !
Just want to add some words: Me and a couple of friends were working on similar things for years with our BMW Boxer race bikes (some local amateur boxer cup race series, but only low-level sport for hobby enthusiasts) but back then, there was no...
Got to this Thread a Bit Late. and Read all the 48 Pages, uh:headbonk:
Congratulations Dan VelossaTech
Great work. Wann to have one, but there are still some questions left.
European vendors have only few colors available.
Need a Ruby red Part, and I learned this one is still...
I would like to say āthanksā to Kelly@BMR Tech for this thread and all the pieces of valuable information.
My 17 GT Convertible is 14months old with 15,000mls on it and some weeks ago I encountered the same problems with a loose spindle nut (left rear) and a damaged wheel bearing.
The only...
I want to apologize in advance. Please take notice that I'm a forum member from Bavaria, Germany. Everything common in the US. comes here ten years later, so we either don't have a gender discussion nor do we know of such things like sexual harassement.
These things seem to have become "stuck...
Thank you. Meanwhile, I got a recommendation from my favourite brake part shop and guess what they did recommend for the front brake upgrade ?
Yes Sir, the Girodisc-2piece-380mm-rotors for the front together with Ferodo DS2500 pads and steel-braided brake lines from Spiegler. ;)
So that's the...
You're certainly right, but that does not help me as "Girodisc doesn't make rears"
My favourite kit for the rear brakes would be a Girodisc floating two-piece 14" (355x28mm) rotor and an adaptor to mount a hand-brake caliper and the brembo 4-piston caliper that comes stock on GT350...
That's one thing I regret, too.
Am looking for a complete rear kit with parking brake and 14" 2-piece rotors. Or just 14"/355mm 2-piece rotos that could be combined with the Brembo-4-piston calipers, that come stock with the GT350.
Have only found over-expensive Brembo15" kits (that sometime...
