    What’s interesting is ford likes to do “firsts”. what is the first here? At 450tq, they would break the production engine record at 90ft/lbs per litre. the 4.5L V8 Ferrari does 88.5/L. Porsche’s RS engine is right there too. The coyote would take them both. so maybe there is merit here.

    Exactly. It can run on 87 with enough timing pulled and valve overlap. All I said is with emissions equipment and pump gas, we’ll see 40hp and 20tq less. That’s all.

    You might be ahead with ported stock heads as you’ll retain the direct injection. AXS5.2 is rated on race fuel with long tube headers. It won’t make those numbers with factory emissions systems and pump gas, probably down 40hp and 20tq.

    Since you seem interested in NA BEMP, use the highest torque/L, highest HP/L, and highest CR (production gas) created in the last 10 years. the 4.5L in the speciale.
